@JHTrucker

Wow, yes that was a strange discovery! Does that have any obvious consequences that I
can't imagine here in a hurry? :o :shock: :roll:

@olaf28 - Glad that you're happy with a "not ideal" solution.
What is your mirror distance set to? I use 100.
uset r_mirror_view_distance "100"
uset r_deferred_mirrors - perhaps set this to 0.

If you'd like to try another "smaller file" i've added "Smaller view 3, 4 & 5 (untested)".
Smaller view 1 - Has image 90% height and 80% width
Smaller view 2 - Has image 80% height and 80% width
Smaller view 3 - Has image full height and 70% width (black bar left and right)
Smaller view 4 - Has image full height and 65% width (black bar left and right)
Smaller view 5 - Has image full height and 60% width (black bar left and right)

Number of pixels per image (smaller = higher fps)
V0=2073600 <--1920x1080 full size image
V1=1492992
V2=1327104 <- works ok for you.
V3=1451520
V4=1347840 <- should run the same as V2
V5=1244160 <- better but less screen width

I'm really not sure many people would think having a smaller screen image and MSAA is better than standard game.
It also depends on how much in game settings people are happy to turn down.

EDIT: File deleted. Use this post instead: viewtopic.php?p=17913#p17913
what uset r_mirror_view_distance "100" is changing ? higher value give a better vision on the mirrors ? I put my "mirror distance" quality in ultra in the graphics settings and other mirror settings is also in high and it is still hard to see the "wide angle mirror" which is near the co driver and also the co-driver normal mirror it is a little hard to see when the trailer is in some angles..
is uset r_mirror_view_distance can fix it ? if not there is other fix for this ?

thx

@alonzam99 - Olaf28 is wanting more fps and lower mirror distance is the solution to help that only.

@BenganJ - No current issues caused by this.

My first hope with this discovery was to be able to control where AA is applied to an image rather than the whole image and therefore increase fps. Triples with just the center monitor with AA for example. But it doesn't work like that. AA gets applied to all screens as long as at least one image is full width no matter how high it is. Even my AA.Enabler at Width=1.0 height=0.0 forces AA to all images across all screens.

@alonzam99

I am not fully sure what you want, but I set the mirror distance right in the config.cfg file,
because I want it to be better than Ultra setting in game. My value is 900, just as I have
informed about it in first post!

@JHTrucker

Well, I'm sure you'll be coming back pretty soon with another idea building on this! :lol: :lol: :lol:

@alonzam99 - If you want to see left and right mirrors on screen at the same time, increase FOV or buy a wider aspect ratio monitor or try the file i attached to my reply to Olaf28 on page 215. That "smaller" file will give a higher aspect ratio on your monitor by lowering the image height but keeping it's full width.

I want more mirror distance so I can see the co driver's mirror better becuase for example when I reverse it is hard to see the end of the trailer or if I hit something from the co-driver mirror. I only see good for the driver mirror.

@alonzam99

Then it might be better to raise that value to what I have in config.cfg, BUT a better solution
is to use the zoom function to get closer to the right mirror. I use headtracking and have made
a change to how near I can lean towards both the mirrors in order to see better when reversing!

@alonzam99 - I press the ZOOM button to get a closer look at distant mirrors.
I made a "drone view" for people wanting an overhead view whilst in cab reversing.
Here in my sig. Additional non standard screen configs to try.
If you can make mods, then the mirror FOV's can be increased to see wider view in them.
If you are using physic mirrors then they have a really narrow FOV.
