Shadows don't get AA applied to them and so the best way to reduce flicker is to increase their texture size.kenworthfan wrote: ↑September 6th, 2022, 4:16 amIs their a way to fix the flickering lights at night time and building/grass shadows at day time, I have tried everything but can't seem to find the solution
thanks
r_sun_shadow_texture_size "8192" or 16384 if your system can handle it!
Other texture flickers are caused by "z fighting" when 2 textures are placed exactly on top of each other and both are trying to be displayed. Some building windows for example. SCS Mappers need to fix them, but never do.
Distant twinkling lights are a product of the new lighting system.
Our AA only works at maximum of 4x, if 8x worked then I'm sure it would help, but all settings above 4x just apply 4x to the image.
You could incorporate DSR 1.78x or the new DSR thing nvidia added for compatible gpus. Use the DSR info in the first post.
As of game version 1.45, it still doesn't recognise resolutions above your monitors native one and so you'll still have to match your windows desktop resolution with the game DSR one.
