It's possible that ATS mirrors have their rendered view at a larger initial resolution than ETS2 and therefore look better when both have 100% scaling.

For example, I don't use betas, but I think they have now increased the resolution of the gps screen. It's not bigger, just more pixels to draw it.

Yes I feel you may be correct.

I remember when ATS was released, that many felt the performance was not as good as ETS2.

Part of that may have been due to various graphics elements being of higher quality.

I certainly feel ATS does look and feel slightly better than ETS.

But notwithstanding the ETS mirror issue, thanks to Roextended for alk your efforts.

With my super 4K TV and a 3080Ti, it's looking better than ever.

Just need a faster CPU so I can increase traffic density... 3rd World problems eh ?

Spotted this in SCS ATS forum regarding AI changes in 1.46 beta...
It sounds like there should be more AI around you now and therefore you may not need to increase the traffic and therefore save cpu usage for non AI things instead.

If you use a high value for uset g_lod_factor_traffic
Then you may need to reduce it in case it's now causing performance problems without visual improvement?

It's a shame that SCS didn't think it would be useful to tell the players in the 1.46 beta blog post... "Traffic improvements to make the roads feel fuller"

Can anyone confirm this? It's not in the blog post, but maybe they tweaked it a little.

The spawn distance has not been increased, but the last change of LOD to the "invisible" state has been increased, so yeah, you should see AI vehicles (dis)appearing farther.
And the maximum number of AI vehicles has not been increased either, but the spawning algorithm has been significantly improved, so there should be better balance of vehicles in front of the player and behind the player, better balance between types of vehicles (no more 5 police vehicles after each other), no more desolate/empty spaces without any AI vehicles for hours, etc.
Also there should be no more visible (de)spawning of AI vehicles close to you (closer to like 700 m). For example it was quite common for AI vehicles to (dis)appear on bridges right in front of you while you were travelling on the road below. This issue should be gone too.

Hey guys,

im abolutly lost in here...

I have my NVidea Settings completed. Cant use my own settings like the same from photo 4. But why?!

My Game looks like crap or is only without my HUD. cant see the speed or something like these.
Or maybe its too far away and only on my middle screen.

I use an GTX1060 wit 3 27´´ screens....

Anyone can give me a full tutorial? :(

If you can't use my supplied multimon files, that shouldn't be edited, then you can use a1337cookie's calculator instead.

@killingjoke - No, still doesn't work and I'm not actively trying to get it to work.
If it did work, most people would turn it off, due to the fps drop that having both MSAA and SSAO on would cause.

From the 1st post:
Q - Why can't we have NPI AA and SSAO?
A - Basically, when MSAA is forced on to the rendered image it seems to break or remove the depth information within the image. That depth information is what SSAO needs in order to work out what needs to be darker.
It's the same reason why you can't use reshade.

It's clear from the last few updates that SCS now consentrate on image quaility/detail/looks rather than the driving part.
You never know, SCS may release their DX12 update one day, that will include proper AA that will be compatible with SSAO, if not, then that's another fail...

I really hope they don't screw up with the update. Currently I use the Nvidia filters to inject SSAO but the result is not quiet the same as with the built in SSAO.

@tcoffa - Well nobody has ever said that in the last 2 and a half years...

This brute forces AA via the driver on to the games rendered image and so I'm not sure why running on a server would break it... I might add that I don't play promods, either online or offline or TruckersMP.

Are you running different 'home directories' between non-promods & promods?
If so then you'll have to apply step 2 & 3 to both.

Perhaps the game is run via a different .exe file name?
In NPI for the game profile you'll see 'amtrucks.exe' or 'eurotrucks2.exe' at the top left area.
The AA is only applied if those exe's are running.
If it is a different exe then you can add that exe name to the NPI profile as well as original exe using the icon with the green + on it.

Other than that, supply a game log for both versions.
