OK, great.
So I first made sure that the settings work in normal 2D, then made the changes for VR mentioned on page 517.
Antialiasing didn't work in VR.
A little info about the HMD and my system:
Nvidia driver 466.47
GPU: RTX3060 laptop
ETS2 version Oculus+OpenVR 1.39 (because I need HDR off to reduce aliasing)
HMD: Pimax 5K+ running at a resolution of 2228 x 2632 (small FOV). The Pimax uses two displays, one for each eye, so I have to enable 'Parallel projections' in the Pimax settings in order to get proper alignment between the to displays. According to the designers of the headset, it uses a custom renderer. I can try to find more information, if it's relevant for what we are trying to achieve.

Okay Folks! Here we go again! Nothing were said about AA in that video, but we've had one indication
earlier about SCS working on new AA. Sadly we have to wait and see, as SCS isn't very communicative

But hey, if DX12 is being implemented, then imagine DLSS or TAA being included. I would definitely prefer DLSS but I currently don't have the hardware for it. TAA with some sharpness will suffice in my opinion.

SCS did the same when they implemented the disgusting SMAA in the game, it turned out exactly the same crap as we already had. DLSS, dont make me laugh... hahahahaha.

Do you realize this is an outdated game with an obsolete engine that dates from 2014, right? or 2013, cant remember... LOL.
They had the opportunity when they updated the game to DX11 years ago to work on a decent AA. They didnt introduce TAA back then, and they didnt do it either in the next updates, i dont see why are they going to do it now.
Apparently the playerbase doesnt think that the game looks like crap (without npi), they think it looks amazing... hahahahahaha. Why SCS is going to waste time adding TAA?
And sorry but i dont believe anything SCS says. Because we know them. We know they talk a lot, they know how to "trick" the usual brainless playerbase, saying they are updating this or that,
when in the end its completely false, and the only thing they do is to add half-baked things without anything substantial. Has been happening for years, i dont know why they are going to do thins in a different way now.

Hey guys, this stuff is super cool, thanks for your hard work finding these settings! I want to share something from my experience, and ask some questions as well, if that's alright.
So I have a triple 27" monitor setup with a 4k panel in the middle and two 1080p screens on the side. This works great for normal use, but for ATS, I run into problems with Nvidia Surround. Basically, with a resolution of 5760x1080, my center screen looks very blurry from the scaling. If the 4k monitor used integer scaling, there would be no blur, since 1080p is exactly half the width and height. Unfortunately, my monitor has no built-in function for it, which only leaves me with GPU integer scaling. However, a limitation of Nvidia's GPU integer scaling is that it doesn't work with surround. Hence the problem.
After doing a bunch of searching, I figured out a way to run my triple screens without blur by bypassing surround entirely. It seems like not many people know about this, as in my search, a lot of people said it was impossible to run ATS on triples without using surround (or its equivalents). What I did was run the game in windowed mode, and use Simple Runtime Window Editor (SRWE) to span the game across all three screens. The tricky part is resizing the viewport, as stretching the window doesn't change the resolution the game is using. Here are the steps I needed to follow.
Anyway, back to the topic of anti-aliasing. I haven't tried using Nvidia Profile Inspector yet, and I'm wondering what you guys might recommend for my setup. When using 5760x1080, I had it at 300% scaling with no SMAA, most settings at high. I could get a stable 60 FPS on my RTX 3070. When trying 11520x2160, I used 75% scaling, no SMAA and some settings at medium to get a mostly consistent 60 FPS. The 1080p setup looked decent, but the 4k setup looked better, at the cost of blurrier sides. Both setups still have a significant amount of aliasing though, so I'm wondering if it's worth trying NPI's AA. Like, how does the image quality and performance hit compare to changing the resolution scale?
I'm also wondering if there is a way to have the game render at native resolution for all my monitors? Like no scaling, 1080p side screens with 4k center screen. I'm thinking if I make the window 7680x2160, and I have the proper multimon config, it might work? Maybe JHTrucker could help me on this one. If it works, that would be ideal, as it would look even better and be much more performant. Let me know what you think!

- Revert the change by letting the timer run out or pressing Enter (or Esc I think).
- Now you should have an extremely squished window, Alt-Tab out to SRWE.
- Change the window position and size until the client area position and size fits the screens perfectly (values can be saved to a profile). If it doesn't let you, try making the far left monitor the primary display.
- Now play the game!
