But i checked and indeed, when night hours the fps drop is insane for some reason, indeed could be related to the new lightning system, but what i wish to know is why roextended is affected and the rest of the game isnt.
It is just making me nuts.

And because i want to figure it out, so we can all have this frikkin problem behind us and enjoy roextended that is an amazing addition to ets2.

The game engine is not badly optimized, it is just what it is. It reached its peak a long time ago. SCS is just doing attrezzo half-baked updates to keep the fanboys happy, because sadly the majority
of the playerbase of this game, apparently is composed by non brained players who dont even care if the game looks like a frikkin game from 1995. And it wont matter how many lighting "revamps" they do
until they actually upgrade the game engine in first place to allow things like multi-core or proper AA. Like Arayas, im very dissapointed with SCS at this point, and i can tell you without remorse that i dont spend a
single dime anymore on DLCS since ages ago. I can get them for free by other means, if you know what i mean. And no, i dont regret it.

And NO, the solution is not buying new hardware, dont go there. You are making the mistake of thinking like all those fanboys (in fact i know who you are, but i dont want to create polemic here),
that cant understand the game engine is pretty limited and already saturated, if you have fps problems now they are not going to be fixed by upgrading your hardware lol.
It wont matter if you have the best computer of the world, you will still have the exact same problems.

Its like the other day in the promods forum, i said that the shadow casting in this game is terrible, that shadows are ridiculous. One guy said "shadows are fine, they look fantastic".
This guy probably never played more than one game in his life, because if pixelated, flickering shadows are "fine"... i dont know what to say anymore lol. And yup, this guy was one of those fanboys.

Was coming here to report a crash, but after this book i wrote, i completely forgot the city :lol: . I was going to post the game log but i will wait to check what city i was driving first.

EDIT: Heres the log, im not sure if this sector is modified by roextended or the problem is coming from another mod, but i always get a crash in the same spot.
The city i was driving to was Mukachevo, coming from Cluj-Napoca

Failed to open file '/etrusan3d/mm/bins/tc01.pmd' in the read_only mode.

The pmd file is in the RC. First step: redownload the RC, it was a temporary first version for a few hours having more than 1MB, that's not good.

Second reason, you may have a possibility to overwrite Etrusan models by other map/patch/mod/workshop.

I will sort this up today if i can reproduce it.

Solution:
Subscribe to etrusan workshop and place his package above map.

Hm, i dont understand, whats the RC? Road connection? what RC? i always use the last versions.. unless another one was released very recently.
But what road connection is used in there? im lost.

To reproducde it, you just need to pick a delivery that goes thru those cities i mentioned, since there is only one possible road that connect em.

Thanks, ima going to add the etrusan package to the modlist in the meantime so i can finish the delivery.

RC is road connection. I already did a test in Sibiu about same error, no crash...

I have a crash when go from Taman to Kerch, at this point. I don't know if it is in ROEX-SR road conection or ROEX 2.9.5

I did some tests again and the problem is identifyed as an odd choice of the model creator.

In Roextended 2.9.5/2.6.5 are used Etrusan OLD models.
In Southern Region road connection are used NEW models

As a reasonable man i would think the new pack will include the old models and the "looks" for it.
But as model creator, Etrusan clearly doesnt understand how map making works because he decided to edit his models from 1.39 to 1.40 at core level.

Translation of the image:
1. hrouda.pmd had 3 "looks" (default, 2 and 3) now he erased 2 and 3 leaving just default one. All mappers using hrouda.pmd in their map before 1.40 pack will have errors like KRETI did : 00:03:14.631 : <ERROR> [model] Unknown look name '2' on model '/etrusan3d/jine/hrouda.pmd' and probably crash.
2. 77x15x1.pmd had one look (default) and he added 2 more (paint and metal) ERASING THE DEFAULT ONE! This is yet even more dangerous because this is a SIGN model (light pole) who is clearly crashing the map.

This is a very BAD situation for a mapper. If you use the old signs you have only DEFAULT LOOK. If you replace the pack with a new one, HOW to replace DEFAULT with PAINT or METAL, when editor is crashing not finding the DEFAULT look ?!?

I remember FLD decided to erase some of his old prefabs in his new package. That leaved us (me and Sergey, Probably Simka too) with a non-functional map editor. Eventualy i did a Hybrid FLD pack containing ALL prefabs.
I apreciate the time for making this models, but dont act like nobody used your pack before and simply erase things.

I will see how i will make a Hybrid Etrusan Pack from it to include it in the new RC with Southern Region.
