@Forza Gamer 777

Note that I didn't answer any of your postings, Arayas will do that much better than me.
I just acted as a moderator here! But in some way, welcome to the new fancy world of SCS!

My post about Discord was based on this post
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2006&start=80#p39615

The test i did was ignored as a proof this game in 1.40 is the worst optimized game in the world...and the focus shifted to...Roextended...another way to tell your fanboys not to use it.
But the test speaks volumes, because when you make it in exact same conditions, regardless of how great or shit map you use to do it, the results are on point. And 10 FPS drop by day and 30 FPS drop by night, is not caused by the map, BECAUSE IS THE SAME PLACE, but by the update itself.

Even so, i did a test elsewhere, a 10 FPS drop in a city of another map maded in LOW-POLY models still speaks volumes because judging by the quality of assets used there it suposed to look sharp, but it didnt.

1.40 WAS NOT READY to be released. PERIOD. It has tones of bugs, and for the life of me, i dont understand what light has to do with sounds.

BUT Iberia was already postponed and money was needed. BADLY. So, fuck it, release it as it is....we will fix it later.....with screenshots enhancement.

Because of this SCS policy, modding is now dying worse than 1.37, when everyone needed to rewrite sounds. It would seem that you changed the lighting, make its integration normal so that a bunch of mods and assets do not break, but no, THEN WE WILL FINISH! SEE WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SCREENSHOT EDITOR YOU DID NOT ENOUGH!

Guys, please calm down. I have heavy FPS drops in some areas of RoExtended/Turkey Lite, too, but also in Iberia. I don't think it is a specific RoExtended or Turkey problem, but I think it is a poorly optimized game engine problem. Maybe I have to change some startup parameters. The other solution would be to buy new hardware, but that's not an option for now. The work around for me is to avoid those heavy FPS drop places and enjoy the many, many places, including within RoExtended, Turkey and Iberia, that have no heavy FPS drops.

Thank you all for the your views and options. It is at least entertaining.
But what is now actualy the problem, execpt that SCS had fucked up the lighting system in 1.40? We know that. No need to repeat that everytime.

We talk like adults :big_boss: no angry posts here.
We, atleast me, talk about the fact SCS is on a crazy path here. FMOD was not needed, and its fucked up now anyway, light system is needed, but NOT until you solve your game graphics and performance.
Screenshots "updates" are just disperate gestures to stay relevant. The game is updated on knees, proved by the fact they change codes to ruin other codes....
Some say (we know who) Arayas is just taking his point to a continous critic towards SCS, when everything is in fact peachy. Is not.
I have spent more than 3 years in this community, building a map, a site, a forum and a name from nothing, do you think i like the situation? I would like to be "wow!!" at every SCS update, i would love to. But i am not gonna bury my head in sand like fun boys or former/future SCS employees from some mapping teams just because.
I have my critic eye always opened, and i am allowed to have an opinion, not as a sheep, but as a free person.

Great things are not build when you have people praising your every step. We had that in comunism and it was not great.
Many IMPORTANT things needs to be adresed in this game and while the time passes, i am more and more convinced SCS people cannot do it. Is not there. They just paint the donkey at every update. To transform that donkey into a racing horse....other story, and probably SCS doesnt have the tools to make it.

My 2 cents. :orc:
