Hello everyone! the other day I was lucky enough to buy a GTX 660, yes, it was she)) because the situation with video cards leaves much to be desired. Before that, I played on my laptop a decade ago, on which I created the tgs map. It had the characteristics of the first generation i3 with an integrated HD 4000 video core. It's primitive. Recently, I assembled a new computer based on b460 and i3 10100 but without a video card, since it is not cost-effective to take a new video card and I thought to buy it later on the secondary market.
Having received a new computer, I was already happy with a new picture in minimum quality in a stable 15-20 fps, which at least does not freeze every second.
And now I turned up a cheap version of GTX 660, I looked at the review of how it behaves, since I don't play anything practical anymore, and even now it is quite rare. In the review, I saw that the GTX 660 on patch 1.40 produces 30-35 fps at ultra at a scale of 100. I thought it was normal for such a price and bought it.
When the 660 was in my computer it showed an ultra at 45-50 fps at a scale of 100. I downgraded all ultras to high, left only the weather at ultra and upscaled to 200 and I got the same 45-50. fps but the picture quality is much better. Now there is no chapel of my joy, I am flying along the roads, admiring the scenery and maneuvering among the stream of cars without any problems. Maybe I'll try the settings from this topic a little later to achieve even better quality. But now it's already fun.

@BenganJ - I've directed this at you but have written it for others that may read it, so don't be annoyed if you think i'm telling you something you already know.

Once we had the working AA bit we had to find a fix for the graphics glitch it caused when switching between driving screen and menu screen. We tried changing uset g_menu_aa_limit "8" to different values but it didn't help and so that is the only reason why it's stated in the first post when it's at the game default value anyway.
The proper fix for the glitch being my multimon file.
The game uses SSAA for menus and SMAA for driving.

Time for a test!

I think we should turn off menu SSAA and let our MSAA work it's magic instead.
In ATS garage menu i see a poor image quality... (my texture filtering is 'quality' and not 'high quality').
Here is an image from ATS garage menu, left menu_aa_limit "8" & right menu_aa_limit "0".
MENUAA.png
As the truck rotates it no longer sparkles with horrible chrome and instead is worth my time to admire.
I've switched back and forth between menu/driving/garage(truck config)/garage(trailer config) and waves background and all seems well as long as the multimon file is used.

@JHTrucker

As always when you come up with new ideas, I'm off testing your theories!
BRB with some form of report!

EDIT: Yes, I get the same result, the AA is at least slightly better with
g_meu_aa_limit set to "0" than g_menu_aa_limit "8" in menus. So, as
a consequence I will now change the value in first post.

===== DONE! =====

@JHTrucker @BenganJ

I changed the value of g_menu_aa_limit "8" to g_menu_aa_limit "0" and use the standard single multi-com file. The flickering is removed in garage view on truck and things are crisp looking. In-game looks amazing. Flickering on chrome gauges in cab is now removed. Time to go for a short run to double check these findings but I think you have a winner. Thanks a bunch!!!!
