@kmorreison

Yes, test to set r_vsync in config.cfg to "0" and in NPI 1/3 refresh rate. I use that.
Report back, please!

In principle if I put it through NPI if it restricts the Fps to 48, what I did not know is if it works anyway and has the same effect. The truth is that it rarely felt like an acceleration in speed and it is supposed that with this these things are avoided, correct?

Between this of the AA, the external cameras of Trucker and something else ... it changes the game completely !! =)

Thanks for the work !!

@kmorreison

Tell me, did you get a stable constant FPS of 48? That's the goal, because in my
experience, if FPS isn't limited you'll get stuttering and screen-tearing.

@truckpulling92 - Thanks for your report. SCS blog a few weeks ago regarding new lighting stated HDR generated values and post effects but didn't say you can't turn it off.

Will headlights during day get fixed? It's probably an optimisation to keep fps higher. I've always driven for past 7 years in ETS2 with headlights on 24hr a day and get annoyed at how much they illuminate things during bright sunshine.

@BenganJ

At the end I added the option in Npi and I set it to 48Fps and at least the time I was playing I noticed it a lot better, constant 48Fps there are no accelerations or jerks, it seems it works much better! :good:

Since 1.40 Beta is out, I was curious if Anti-aliasing using the default in-game settings got better and can now be used instead of NPI. I'll let you decide on your own. 😉

@kmorreison

Good to hear you got a frame limiter to work. May I ask if you also then
have the following setting in config.cfg?

Code: Select all

uset t_averaging_window_length "96"
It will smooth things out even more.

@theclumsygeek

Well, I will probably sound like a grumpy old man here, which I actually am! 😆😆😆
I won't give my opinion on this comparison due to the following facts. The three
videos recorded, splendidly done environment and synchronization wise, was then
combined into one, meaning there was a processing stage in that. Then on Youtube
there were another processing into the vp09 codec. So, too much impact on the
original recorded videos for me. What I would have wished, was to be able to DL
all three ORIGINAL videos and displaying them all three on my three identically
configured monitors, same model, at the same time. If I should make ONE single
comment, it would be that the biggest difference I see is when SSAO is activated,
which I really miss when we are using the NPI AA scheme. My two cents.

I have a GTX 1650 S. However, I can only get a constant FPS if I set the game to vertical synch economy mode. I took the steps mentioned in the first post several times without any result.
Is the graphics card just too bad?

@fatih301081

That Economy mode is equal to setting r_vsync to "2" in the config.cfg. The values "3" and "4"
are also possible to use if you have a monitor with high refresh rate set.
