@Arayas ???? Your last reply to me sounded like you didn't want the solution to your problem?

When i said to change this uset r_anisotropy_factor "0.1825" to "1" that was to fix it for you.

1=max image quality, from near to you into the distance.
0.1825 is so close to you that the image will be blocky the further away it displays into the distance.

You deleted NPI and config.cfg and now all is working again... that's because "1" is the default value when config.cfg is created.

toni1958 - You did use something from the game for your headtracking... trackir=1 in config.cfg.
Then whatever software you use to do headtracking will work with the game... so you're good to go if your head can control the view in the cab.

Low gpu usage... that's because the game is basically running on 1 core of your multicore processor.
So when there's lots of traffic (mod?) the cpu has to calculate it all whilst running the game and generating frames to pass to the gpu to render. Too busy and fewer frames are passed on = lower fps.
Lots of mods is probably the issue? Keep mirror distance to medium the rest could be high/ultra, Mirror is cpu task, the greater the distance the more it has to work out what to display... on all visible mirrors.
That's why you'll see people complaining of fps drops with there fancy/expensive new cards.
So if you use MSI Afterburner you can display cpu usage per core and you should see one of them max out when your fps drop.
Also display gpu temp / clock speed so you can see if gpu gets hot and down clocks and gives you that stutter.

Render ahead=3 is the same as app control (normally).
Try 2? so cpu can do more other stuff... might help with fps drop when cpu usage is high?

My shite 3g data connection is beyond annoying at the moment, cutting off every minute or not even connecting... so i might not be around here much...

@BenganJ

I don't ever remember seeing "economic" in the ingame "vert sync" dropdown but I have been known to be wrong before(on alot of occasions so my ex used to tell me) haha

@JHTrucker

Thanks for that information, I have only been using the simple FPS performance thingy from G force overlay and as the results are at the top on my inverted left screen(figures are also on their side too) it makes it hard to try and see whats going on. You could be right with what you have just commented on because I have been driving around tonight on ATS all night, not changing any settings and watching the game reactions. What I have noticed is that when I get the stutter/erratic picture sequence I am not losing any FPS(29-30) and also the GPU is not dropping either(50-60). When I get the freeze frame however the FPS is again unchanged but the GPU usage drops to 14, yes I did type that right 14.
I have done a stress test on the card as you suggested, didn't go above 70C and with nothing else showing up. I will try afterburner tomorrow, how do I overlay the readouts over the truck game? I seem to remember trying once before and couldn't work it out, as soon as I loaded the game it blocked it out.
3G....WOW, you are so lucky, I am still on dial up lol.

Please find attached my multimon.sii file for you to browse and adjust.
Thanks for the help

ok, don't know where the file has gone, blooming tech
I don't remember using trackir in the config.cfg, this was about a year or so ago and don't even remember if it was in the game settings.
I'll try sending you the file on PM

That link beneath this text field Add image to post is ONLY for pictures.
Go into Full Editor & Preview and you will find an ATTACH tab to use.
