[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@olaf28
I understand and you will like it when you have learned how to record videos too,
much easier to show people things that way.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Single Monitor AA setup with Magnification options.
I like to have as much outside world on display as possible. Anything inside the cab above the top of the windscreen is wasted screen space. Not all trucks allow you to move the seat close enough to increase the overall view size (you could use a mod to change this for each truck or lower FOV).
The attached low quality pic is provided to illustrate the difference using ATS W900 and my favourite FOV of 60.
The top pic is:
FOV 60, seat as far forward as it can be and standard STEP 2 Single.AAv4 file (which uses scs default sizes).
The middle pic:
FOV 60, seat moved to around middle position and Single.AAv4.20mag file.
As you can see, i no longer have wasted space above the windscreen, a bigger dash and everything in the yard is just bigger as well. Check out the hut in the distance at the company entrance. Bigger objects means more pixels used to draw them which should equal better image quality.
The bottom pic (i should have done this at the same location, but forgot):
FOV 50, standard step 2 Single.AAv4 file, seat adjusted and head pivoted downward to get the same sort of visual results as the middle pic. But if you look closer you can see the image has become distorted.
The mirror on the left leans to the left along with the telegraph pole next to it. The telegraph poles and lamp post around the middle of the screen (chainsaw area) are all leaning right.
When using one of these files:
Don't change the in game FOV - set/keep your favourite. Instead use a higher or lower magnification % file.
Adjust seat forward/backward/up/down to suit. Set head level or not, it's your choice.
The attached file has 6 options, 5%,10%,15%,20%,25% & 30% screen magnification.
Typical in game FOV values and a starting point for which files to try first:
Your in game FOV=50 5%/10%/15%
Your in game FOV=60 15%/20%/25%
Your in game FOV=70 20%/25%/30%
Just replace your existing multimon_config.sii file with your chosen % file to test.
NOTE: I use TIR left/right only and have this set in global config.cfg
uset g_interior_camera_zero_pitch "1"
Single.AAv4.Magnification options.zip --> https://mega.nz/file/2gxUibaR#mzTQbFbzE ... q8u4pa-EU0 ATS/ETS2 Additional non standard screen configurations to try for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ - SCS don't want me to get the TIR window open/close problem fixed...
If you remember my modified view 5 has low quality interior, i've found how to change that! But look what happens.
See low quality pic below.
Top - view 1
next - view 5 - no interior?
next - view 0 - here it is!
next - view 0 - wtf?
I basically replace the path to the low quality interior with the proper interior, that's all.
But if that worked it wouldn't animate, gauges/lights etc. There's no path to change to point to the animated model from external cameras.
I'd already worked out the mechanics via logitech software for having recorded button presses to work windows and change the view to suit keeping head inside or allow pass through open window only.
Why can't we have 2 internal cameras, that would solve it.
Shame... almost a winner.

@JHTrucker
Yes, I've noticed lots of times when teleporting that view 0 is a sort of randomly located view
when returning to ground via F9. Is that what you have to deal with there?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ - No, view 0 was just to see where the interior was as it wasn't where it should have been... it's underground.
just had another idea, delete all references to the low quality one and that'll force the high quality or crash the game. Well, no crash and no interior!
Time for a different approach, perhaps.
EDIT: Any chance you could attach your current 1.37 controls.sii file from either game? Thanks.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ, no problem, thanks.
I was just wanting to check against mine (1.36) in case there was something with mouse look and block as there's plenty of formulas in here, but both are the same as far as i can see checking all cam/mouse stuff.
Hoping for an extra variable that we could have added to tir x. Never mind.
I know you said previously that you use extra code for left/right movement:
config_lines[247]: "mix headtrx... -0.25, 0.7 <- this bit.
Mine is obviously -0.1, 0.1 and i assume it's left limit / right limit for x?
But if i change to -1.1, 1.1 or -0.0, 0.0 or -5.0, 5.0 i see no difference in my left/right head movement. I still end up out of the window at the same place using game standard cam, no mod.
What does this do for you? Can you see a different when reverted to standard?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker
Those edited lines for X and Z gives me more space sideways and forward mostly.
I've done it to be able to lean towards the left and right mirrors and that works
pretty well. When I have a lady sitting in the co-drivers seat watching her phone,
I can readily lean towards her and watch the phone together with her!
Here's a very fast recorded video showing somewhat what it all look like.
I guess that the effect will be different in different trucks as they already might have
other default values. I'm no truck expert, just what i suspect!
