@JHTrucker thank I don't know I need to disable HDR and DOF and my game looks always good with freestyle, and fps problem has been fix.

Here's the result I always use the rich mans setting and it's work well even when recording a video!

@Ticreut29 - Sorry, I'm not sure what you were really saying to me...
I wrote that "poor mans" AA guide to help people who were struggling to get 30 fps.
You just happened to be posting at the same time.
You stated that you get around 50+ fps dropping down only 15 or so fps.
So i wasn't aiming it at you and calling you "poor" i was just using the same terminology as first post "poor mans adaptive sync" that's for people without freesync or gsync monitors.
But if you have used something i stated and you are now happy, then that's all good!

@olaf28 - That's ok. I realise not everyone can spend all day playing!

Hello JHTrucker and Bengan

I have been testing for a few hours again.
Lost track of time :D :D :D

I tested the following:

Config:
- uset r_mirror_view_distance "100"
- uset r_deferred_mirrors - to 0.

In game
HDR - untick
DOF - untick
Mirror distance - low

I tested a lot with trail and error.
If I only use one of these setting, I don't notice much difference in preformance.
But using them all together, it does yield a (significant) improvement in the number of fps.
But what stands out in the beginning is my preformance or 45 fps and that sometimes my CPU is faster at 100% capacity, which immediately has a negative effect on the preformance / fps.
The question is how can I prevent my fps from exceeding 30? I don't know if it makes sense to use this setting?
-uset r_mode_refresh "60"
Or is it better to set the Frame Rate Limiter at 30fps in the NPI?

I also tested the following:
NPI
- Maximum pre-rendered frames = 2 to 4
- SILK Smoothness = 0 to 2
I also looked at whether adaptation of the above has an effect.
Adjusting Maximum pre-rendered frames didn't notice much difference in preformance
Adjusting the Silk Smoothnes did have an effect. Only at some point I noticed that the effect of my lights was almost no longer visible. After I reset everything to the default settings, the effect of the lights was back.
So adjusting the Silk Smoothnes may have an effect on the lights, but I'm not sure. I should test this further.

But well after a long evening it is time for my bed again. I have not yet got around to testing the new smaller screens. But there is still a whole Easter weekend ahead :lol: :lol: :lol:

@Folks

Crosire has just released ReShade 4.6.0 with an extensive list of fixes and stuff you can
read about here.

I have downloaded it, but haven't tested it yet, only got one person at SCS forum saying
it should work with this scheme. I doubt it though, as so far he seems not to have made
this scheme work. We'll see later, but if anyone feel good with testing if it now works with
NPI, please report back here.

On the other hand, I can't see that ReShade is needed at all as long as we can use Nvidia
Freestyle to do cosmetic enhancements to the graphics. Just to add my personal opinion
about the possible ReShade shaders that are supposed to give a better AA. They are POST
PROCESSING shaders and as such pretty useless in doing any substantial AA, just like the
in game previous MLAA and now SMAA.

I tested even more.

I set the Frame Rate Limiter to 30 fps in NPI. This was the solution I needed. The number of fps now remains much more stable at 30fps. I don't know if I should have used the Frame Rate Limiter actually :? .
I am now using Frame Rate Limiter and not Frame Rate Limiter V3. Does it matter which one I use? Using -uset r_mode_refresh "60" has no effect for me but I think that makes sense because I have a 60hz monior.

The challenge remains my CPU. How do I ensure that it is not subject to the maximum load? I'll see if I can reduce the number of programs running in the background. My anti-virus is also a very demanding program I have seen.

I tested all this without using the new smaller screens. I'm going to test this. I first wanted to see if I can generate enough fps without using the new smaller screens.

You should use the plain Frame Rate Limiter, NOT V3 one, if using config.cfg uset r_vsync "2" doesn't work for you.

Closing my anti-virus program was the solution. Now my fps remains locked at 30fps.
@ Bengan, your comment about your CPU sometimes approaching 100% made me think, to find the solution there. Thank you

You're right.
But the strange thing is that my fps now starts at 45 and slowly drops until it gets to 30fps and stays there. (Unless the CPU comes up to maximum load and then it drops below 30fps and I get tearing)
Not that I am dissatisfied or anything, because now I know how to prevent maximum CPU load.
But I thought that with uset r_vsync "2" it always stays at 30fps doesn't get over it?

But so I can choose between Frame Rate Limiter in NPI OR uset r_vsync "2" in config.cfg. I am now considering setting the Frame Rate Limiter to 30 and not a uset r_vsync "2" because this puts less strain on my CPU.
Anyway I will see what I like best.
