@JHTrucker

Again, the phenomenon clear F1 is talking about is, as far as I can tell,
ONLY a question of something not optimized in the map and has nothing
to do with different settings. You would get a drop at that location whether
you have a 144Hz monitor and RTX2080Ti or a GTX760 with 60Hz monitor.

@BenganJ - I was just saying i've always thought NPI 1/2 vsync was jerky compared to game vsync and clear F1 has therefore proved it for me.

There you are right as hell, because it was when you suggested to use
r_vsync value greater than 1 that I got my supersmooth environ, so thanks
for that.

If you really want to keep using this AA in game, here's 2 extra options i've made just for you to try.

With the attached Single.AA.smaller.zip containing multimon_config.sii files your screen image will be displayed smaller and therefore increase fps a bit.
Keep native game resolution.
Is it worth the smaller image size to keep AA?
You decide...

@BenganJ
When running at locked 30 fps what gpu usage are you generally seeing?
When in those "tricky" map areas does it hit 100%?
Just a thought, along with my vsync=2 i always have:
Maximum pre-rendered frames -- '4'
I don't use on screen wheel. It may lag behind your actual wheel when increasing to 4 or 5 etc.

@JHTrucker

Normally, when the FPS is steady at 30 the GPU load lies between 65 and 75, with at moments,
still at 30 it is going up a bit into the 80's. At this run in the BIG city of Kiev (Kyiv), known to be
a very demanding one, I think I had 2 drops where the FPS left the 30 lock and went down very
shortly to somewhere between 22 and 29 and then at a GPU load of approaching 100%, but didn't
reach higher than 98%. Lately I have set in NPI Maximum pre-rendered frames to 3, but earlier
I used to have it on 6. I know that you have some problems watching videos, but I must say, that
when I watch this one locally from disk it is DAMN super smooth all the time. There are a very
short jerk at two locations, but that's all. In the left corner of the video, you have lots of data
collected and displayed by RivaTuner if you are looking at it.

P.S. As usual it'll take some time before YouTube will have finished process the video and that
moment will happen when it is finally converted to the VP9 codec! D.S.

Hello JHTrucker

I have tested a lot in the past few hours with the new settings and the smaller multimon_config.sii.

Actually, it was already enough to turn off on the HDR to hold 30 fps with Vsync = 2. Although at some times it still fell to 20-25 fps.
With the first version of multimon_config.sii I had a stable 30 fps. Sometimes when I made a turn it fell back but it quickly came back to 30 fps.
With the second version of multimon_config.sii it always had a stable 30 fps wherever I was and whatever I did. I even tried to go to 4xMS + 4xSGSS, but then the fps dropped.

I am really very satisfied with the result. I take it for granted that I now have a smaller screen.
Thank you so much.

@Bengan and JHTrucker
Is it an idea to turn off the advice to turn off the use of the HDR and add the smaller screens to the Q&A if the users experience fps falling or low?
I leave that to you.

Now I am going to sleep :D :D

Edit: I just read Bengan's post on fps fallback when the CPU i at 100%. I experience this too.

@olaf28

Thanks a lot for that full report! Let's see what JHTrucker thinks about
mixing this solution into all the other info in first post! :D

BenganJ - NPI Maximum pre-rendered frames.
If gpu is bottle necking at almost 100% then i wonder if setting "2" will help?
The gpu wouldn't be trying to render 3 at that point so may not drop as much?

Also, is "SILK Smoothness" still required now you're locked at 30?
May be adding to gpu load when no longer required?

Just thoughts as your preferred setup is now different from when you started using those settings.
