Nah, given the fact 2X doesn't do much (for me at least) and 4x is just too straining for consistent FPS. The other things like lowering resolution and stuff, again just compromises after compromises.
Real solutions: 1. Get a more powerful PC.
2. SCS needs to come up with a decent game engine and decent DX implementation.

And as a site note, Nvidia probably had good reasons for not using by default or as an option the Sparse Grid Supersampling, just not good enough from a performance point of view.

@black-coffee

Well, I can't say I have a super computer, but I have VERY decent graphics at a proper FPS,
so I think we're plenty that are satisfied with this scheme. BUT, I agree with you, SCS has
to do something better than just Scaling and SMAA for sure!

Google says...

The RTX 2060 has 15.7 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce GTX 1080, which means that the memory performance of the RTX 2060 is slightly better than the GeForce GTX 1080. The GeForce RTX 2060 6GB has 1920 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 1080 has 2560.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 2060 Founders Edition offers GeForce GTX 1080 levels of performance...

LarryA = GPUs x 2 Evga GTX 1080 ICX SLI "No" - 3440 x 1440 refresh rate 60Hz changed to 1/2 refresh Rate 30Hz. NPI Frame Rate Limiter V3 30 FPS. Antialiasing Setting 32xS [Combined: 2x2 SS + 8x MS]. Antialiasing-Transparency Supersampling 8x Sparse Grid Supersampling.

black-coffee = i5 + RTX 2060 and a resolution of 3440/1440 at 4x does not cope very well with this AA.

Same resolution, 1080 @ 32xS v 2060 @ 4x can't cope... strange or he wanted to run at 60 FPS?
