Thats weird. But we need more data. What are you fps? constant?

Again, the videocard is the less of your problems. Are you using other mods?

Are you sure you have vsync activated?
I was getting 30fps but when the problem occurred the fps immediately dropped.

Yes. I use several mods.

I set vsync to option "2"

@DedaToro
I think you are right.
Thanks for the answer
I don't know much about it, but I think BenganJ would say something like this.
"I'm sorry, but for AA 4x, 1650 is unpowered and unavoidable."
BenganJ was limiting even the higher end 1660Ti to 30fps. I also used to limit myself to 30fps or 40fps when I had a 1070.
I would suggest reducing the density of the grass and trees and changing the shadow settings back to 4096.
Or use 2x, although the quality of AA will drop. Furthermore, if you use DSR with 2x, you will get slightly better results with AA. (Instructions can be found on page 1 of this thread)
Also, in places where the fps drops, the blinker sound can be slower or faster as you say.
Sorry for my bad English.

@DedaToro - Until Tantalus comes back to tell you how to get your 1050 to run at 4xMSAA with 60fps constant, you can try this.

Instant fix for indicator 'slow/fast' thing by unticking 'Secondary Vehicle Lights' in gfx menu, assuming you haven't already.
But that will turn off all projected coloured lights from indicators/brake lights/beacons & reverse lights from your truck/trailer(s) and all traffic.

So instead try this first:
In config.cfg:

uset g_light_distance_factor "1" <-- assuming your's is on '1' at the moment.

That enables lights (street lights, beacons etc) to illuminate their surroundings in the distance.
I have that set to '0.0' and so flashing beacons can be seen but only when you drive past them do they illuminate, you'll see what I mean. So lots of traffic waiting as the traffic lights with indicators on should be less of a fps drop.
Try values 0.0 to 1.0 to see how it looks for you.

I already told him to check the command line launch options, because thats a big important part for performance when using many mods and of course the line
max buffer page size of the config file needs to be set to 30 at least. I dont know if he already have these changes in place, he didnt say anything about it.

Besides that, it maybe a external problem, like card overheat, background apps, windows acting like a jerk because its badly optimized, etc, hard to say.

Last, MIRRORS and REFLECTIONS. Those are a big hit on fps, he could try to lower the quality of them.

More than that, as i said, my friend runs the game at 60fps with a 1050, he is not using max settings on mirrors, shadows and reflections and he is only using about ten mods.
Not including map mods. But i dont think that will make such huge difference in performance.

@tantalus GTX 1050 Ti with 4xMSAA can't give you more than 50 fps if you use tons of mods with big map combo setup. I personally lock the fps to 30 for a smooth experience :)

You can use 4x at 60fps. As i said, a friend of mine does. No mods or whatever, sure, but he has a 1050 and he is enjoying the game as everybody should, at 60fps.
The game engine is soooooooo old and obsolete and this game looks so bad that it is hilarious to think that we cant even run it at 60fps on a 1050gtx lol.
Also In the moment you have little knowledge on computers and videogames you know that a 1050 has power waaay enough to run the game at 60fps. Its not a problem of the videocard itself.

The thing you've got to consider Tantalus, is not everyone is so truthful in regards to their fps. They say 60 but disregard all the drops as "that's to be expected".
Here, even you let your guard down...

by tantalus » September 28th, 2021, 3:16 am
...The game for me since 1.39 never perfomed so nicely. Not a single fps drop, maybe a few in specific places but i can be playing for hours and not experience a single fps drop...

As this is a help thread that you, to my knowledge, contributed nothing to, it would be better to stop with all the "60 fps for everyone" when it's quite clear that it simply isn't true, having a friend doesn't make you right. The game is what it is, we try to make the most of what we have, also your bashing of SCS from a far is pointless... do that on SCS forum.

Anyway, I don't come here to argue, just try to help if someone wants it, but your constant negativity isn't helping anyone.

Is it possible to combine Reshade and NPI? Was driving a long while only with NPI but now I want to use JBX or PNG and they recommend to combine it with Reshade setting, not sure if this is possible in combination with NPI ?

That' s for sure, but he wants to use JBX with indivudual settings for
reshade and this doesn't work.
