@danilozxf

Nice, give me some time to look it over and watch the videos. I'll be back!

Okay, after watching the videos I can see that it helped, but I have some questions for you!

1. Which g_grass_density setting do you use?
2. Are you using t_averaging_window_length setting other that default "20"
3. Are you still using the game_data.sii LOD changes?

I'll do some tests too and see if I can get the same result. Regarding testplaces, try the route
Mazyr (RU) to Korosten (UA) and tell me how it looks on the gravel road through the woods!
BTW, that driver adaptable (half the current rate) is of course available to configure in both
NCP and NPI! And I think we have been onto that before, until JHTrucker found that r_vsync
in config.cfg had more options, like 1/3, 1/4 and 1/5!

Honestly I can't see any Ambient occlusion with any options from NPI, best case scenario the effect is so subtle you might not notice it at all... Probably the same story as the bits for AA, unless someone finds the precise compatibility bits, AO does not work or is buggy and flickering inducing mess. Those bits from other games don't really work unless the game engine is the same or very close and as we know, SCS games have a custom in-house engine... Most importantly, if I'm not mistaken those AO bits are for DX9 games, the AA has a separate section for DX1x games while AO does not... If someone sees AO in ETS2 or ATS (DX11) thru NPI then it's probably the placebo effect :girl_hospital:

@black-coffee

Well, that's some time now since we noticed that, look at my tests for AO in NPI and game SSAO.
The only way to get AO is through the game SSAO, BUT, due to NPI AA active, you'll get wrong effect!
You ought to be here a bit more often mate! :girl_hospital: :laugh3:

I know what you're saying, what I mean is that it doesn't really have anything to do with the AA, the AO bits are not working because they are intended for DX9 not DX11!

Only the NPI AO, the ingame AO is a different thing. Thats why it is strange when only the NPI AA is enabled the ingame AO doesnt work anymore.

Yeah well, the SCS AO does not work because as WE know, this SGSAA solution is being forced by NPI thru the so called "Override any application setting" . By doing that, the normal procedure of rendering the game is subverted, as a result we have no SCS AO... Right know I'm looking for a Geforce Experience filter to force AO, have not found one yet that works.

@BenganJ - Perhaps you should add something like this to your first post:
Step 3
uset r_ssao "0" //This will show as SSAO = Disabled in game. Using it will lower your fps, currently with no visual difference.

Add to existing:
Q - My FPS have tanked making the game unplayable.
A - Disable in game SSAO if enabled.

@JHTrucker

I will, but I'll rephrase "no visual difference." to "little but wrong effect.", because you get an effect from it!

EDIT: DONE!

Off topic a bit, people might want to disable the new feature called "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" introduced in the latest version of Windows 2010... In my case it's causing micro-stuttering.
