@BenganJ, that must have been when i updated the header to match the multi's. So that's fine then.

The link you added for me on "Multi Monitor Version 4 AA - Setup guide" post links to itself and not the post above it "Multi Monitor AA Version 4" post.

Change 3 to 4 on step 2 "Multi Monitor Version 4 AA - Setup guide:..."

@BenganJ - Almost done! Just a last bit... i think...

Change the V3 from red to yellow as it implies it's new today.

Links to Multimon configuration ZIPs V3(Single & Quad) and V4(Dual & Triple).....

And that's it... i promise.
Thanks.

==================== FOLKS! ====================
== In the beginning an idea by JHTrucker, who else!? ==
===============================================

I just have to tell you about my present status with this graphics scheme, presented in this topic.
Sadly the times are bad, which means that I can't illustrate what I say in a good way, because as
every people now are home watching Netflix, YouTube and IP-TV all day, watching a video over the
Internet does NOT give a nice looking video. But here's my present status in short.

  • I have all the settings mentioned in the first post at maximum.
  • Regarding resolution I obviously have both screen and mirrors at 100%, 1:1 relative to native resolution.
  • My monitor resolution setting is 1920x1080. 60Hz.
  • Through Nvidia Control Panel, NCP, I activate DSR with factor 1.78, giving a virtual res of 2560x1440.
  • That DSR res I set my monitor native res to, as a virtual one.
  • I also set the in-game res to that DSR res, so the game will render a 2560x1440 image.
  • The game will see a virtual native res on the monitor and will generate that res to it.
  • The GPU receives that image, but know that the physical res is only 1080p, so it down-scales to that res.
  • Image is now output to the physical monitor.
  • As I nearly always record my driving as video, the recording software will also think I have a 1440p system.
  • That means I directly will get videos in 1440p60 and on YT I will in the end get VP9 codec conversion.
  • The added gain with this is that the AA through NPI will get even better with DSR activated.
  • The FPS though will get a bit lower, so I ended up with FPS mostly below the 60Hz, but above 45.
  • That made me set the Frame Rate Limiter at 45 at first and it worked pretty well. [See Note]
  • Then I thought, that as every other rate was 60Hz, monitor, game, recording soft, then I set it down 30! [See Note]
  • According to reasoning, that made the system generate an image rate, at best, exactly half the normal rate.
  • To me that gave a VERY SMOOTH experience, NO STUTTERING, ALMOST NO FLICKERING.
  • For you people that are always hunting for highest possible FPS, I only have to say.

===============================================================
======== I HAVE NEVER FELT A SMOOTHER ETS2/ATS THAN THIS! ========
===============================================================

[Note]
After advice from JHTrucker, I changed to using vsync = "2" in config.cfg, no more screen tearing. Read under
note [3] in first post about setting different versions of V-Sync within the game.
===============================================================

As I said above, the video I attach here will NOT give full quality, as I see it locally on my machine. You will
see some stuttering, maybe even flipping resolutions due to the heavy congestion there is now on the Internet!
In this video, I have an OSD display of CPU and GPU data, including the FPS. Check it out, it mostly say 30.

If you feel tempted to try it out, just ask if you get problems!

@BenganJ
Thanks for the really fast response. :D :D :D
The only question is, as you know, I have tested DSR before. At that time, AA could not be obtained even with the NPI setting. Does your current NPI setting give you AA?

@clear F1

YES, I have more than FULL AA, as the DSR gives a bit better AA than NPI alone.
The trick is to set the monitor resolution to the same DSR resolution as you set
in-game. Then the 100% Scaling in-game will correspond to your monitor virtual
NATIVE setting.

@BenganJ
I just tested it. It is really wonderful. Maybe the magnification was x2.0 last time?
Thanks anyway!

@clear F1

Good to hear you got it working and YES, one of the good things
with this is that you don't have to process the recorded video one
more time before uploading to YT. ENJOY!
