Hello.

Is there a reason this this has stopped working with Studio driver 517 ?

@Gabe777 - Have you re-applied the NPI settings after you updated your driver?

I have no idea if NPI is even compatible with "non-gaming" drivers.

@chaplindev - This is just odd.

Your game is at 100% scaling = AA
00:00:00.712 : uset r_scale_y "1"
00:00:00.712 : uset r_scale_x "1"

The mirrors are at 100% scaling = Medium resolution in game.
00:00:00.712 : uset r_mirror_scale_y "1"
00:00:00.712 : uset r_mirror_scale_x "1"
And mirrors are 'high quality'
00:00:00.713 : uset r_deferred_mirrors "2"
Both should = Mirror AA

You said mirrors are low res and blurry, if you change in game 'mirror resolution' to 'high' does the mirror become sharp? But it still won't have AA.

Your problem is ATS, do you have ETS2? because others have seen a difference in mirror quality between both games, ATS being worse but still working, whereas you say no mirror AA at all.
You said "before 1.45 works perfect for me", so it's a game update change rather than a driver update change that broke the mirrors.

Just checked my ATS 1.45.3.1 @ 4xMSAA and I see AA ok on the mirrors but I'm no older driver 472.12.

Try this by Robinicus:
"switch your mirror resolution from medium to high, save, exit game, correct back to medium in the game config and the issue goes away"
https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.p ... 949#p43949
I was ... and still am... getting the same issue.

ATS only. ETS2 is fine.

Weird.

Yes.

Got new 3080 Ti card ... reinstalled the 516 gaming driver I was using last week, imported my backed up nvidia inspector profiles.

Now have zero AA.

May try removing everything and start fresh.

@JH Trucker

My Nvida card driver was updated to 516.94
At that moment the recommend settings for NPI don't seem to work anymore and I lost all AA.
When I rolled back tot 496.49 the AA is back

Do others experience this also?
Yes I think so

Just got new card... tried latest drivers... no go.

Went back to 516 which I'm sure was working but may be mistaken as I have multiple boot drives.

Gonnna try going back to an older 4xx driver today.

@Gabe777 - You say... "imported my backed up nvidia inspector profiles... no AA"

Don't import them, setup NPI manually when you have issues with no AA.

From the first post:
Q - After a driver update NPI won't keep my re-imported settings from my backup file.
A - An old NPI backup file might not be fully compatible with a newer driver and/or NPI version and resets itself after a reboot.
In that case, install driver and then manually add your settings into NPI game profile and apply. Check game has AA. Reboot pc and check NPI still has your manually added settings. If NPI settings are still correct, export them to a new backup file.

Yes.. I've completely reinstalled drivers and inspector profiles but with my new 3080Ti I cannot get AA to work at all.

I've tried 516 517 and gone back to 47x 49x etc drivers.

Really weird as I got it working on my 3070 a few weeks ago.

I'm at an utter loss.

The good news is that my 3080Ti annihilates it at

4K
400x scale
... and max SMAA.

And it looks AS good as it did before with this AA SGSS solution.

.... But fewer FPS... I'm only just keeping it above 60 fps minimum.

But I'm giving up now having spent hours on it.

Remind me again.... wlll nVidia AA be better than in game SMAA ? I know SGSS will not work with DX11.

Guess I may just experiment.

But why I can't get it to work with a 3080Ti, when it did with a 3070 ... same brand of card too ! ... is anyone's guess 🤣

@Gabe777 - The game doesn't use any thing special in regards to gpu generation (ray tracing etc).
My old gtx760 and your 3080ti both using same resolution and ultra settings will look exactly the same BUT my fps will be 1 or 2 whereas yours will be 60+.

Your 4k res @ 400% SMAA = (3840 x 2) x (2160 x 2) = 7680 x 4320 = 33,177,600 pixels.
Your 4k res @ 100% NPI AA = 3840 x 2160 = 8,294,400 pixels.
A triple screen 3x1920x1080 @ 100% NPI AA = 5760 x 1080 = 6,220,800 pixels.
A triple screen 3x2560x1440 @ 100% NPI AA = 7680 x 1440 = 11,059,200 pixels.
The higher the pixel count the lower the fps. 4k @ 400% is a huge amount of pixels to calculate, even for a current high end gpu.

You said:
"will nVidia AA be better than in game SMAA ?" - BenganJ started this topic because in game SMAA is hopeless, so yes, NPI AA is better, at least when using monitors below 4k res.

"I know SGSS will not work with DX11" - ??? But it does, when using steps 1 to 3.

Anyway, I can't actually confirm it works with a 3080ti but I think it should work on all nvidia DX11 gpus when the game is also running in DX11 mode and not opengl.

So, just use what ever looks best to you and keep hoping DX12 will appear soon...

Thanks, i will give it a try... Maybe scssoft needs some petition to make better graphic, simulators should have best graphics to be realistic as much as possible...
They don't care.

We have a trucksim that works on 1.5 CPU threads and virtually no antialiasing... in 2022.

But WE are the problem... we keep buying their production line spewed out DLC.

So why would they care ?
