[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
VR headset AA - TEST ONLY as it currently doesn't work when applying first post edits..
I don't have a VR headset and so can't do any testing myself.
Here's an idea from forum member sikjar2 viewtopic.php?p=46901#p46901
===================OLD INFO=====================
Tested by forum member sikjar and didn't work!
viewtopic.php?p=43168#p43168
Complete steps 1, 2 (single monitor) & 3 as specified here: viewtopic.php?p=13049#p13049
Check you have AA in the standard (non VR) game on a single monitor.
Only once you see AA at this stage should you progress to try testing VR & AA.
Make sure any VR enhancements are turned off in the VR software, supersample, scaling etc.
In config.cfg:
uset r_scale_y "1"
uset r_scale_x "2"
Displayed in game scaling as 'custom 200%'.
Now run the game in VR mode.
Did you get AA applied? If you did then fps may be unacceptable.
Can you post your gamelog from the game running in VR mode so i can see how the game is setup or runs differently to the standard non vr game.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ - Not really...
I was hoping for a link in here ?
"At present we have the following limitations and hints for the use of this scheme."
VR headset AA - TEST ONLY.
To direct vr users to that page for testing otherwise they won't see it.
Thanks.
I'm not friend with the words today, I imagine! Will the present double
directed links work?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Hello BenganJ & JHTrucker, first of all thanks for the tremendous amount of work put into the ETS2 & ATS settings
I have a question, so far I played 100% scaling with the settings, I tried to use the resolution boost by DSR (I play Plasma TV Panasonic TX-50VT30 60Hz and Intel® Core ™ i7-11370H - 16GB RAM - 512GB Disk - RTX3060). However, the image resolution is not what I expected. I tried changing the scaling to 200% and everything started to look as it should. My question is, are the settings from the first page of the forum not working with 200% scaling ???
I have a second question, sorry maybe it's a stupid question is it going to reduce the brightness of the windshield inside the truck
from the configuration file ??? if so, how to do it ???
Sorry for my bad English. greetings

@Keiseiw74
In principle the AA scheme won't work unless you set the scaling 100%. And using DSR,
did you follow the advice of setting BOTH desktop AND game resolution to the DSR
resolution, still using Scaling at 100%?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
according to the instructions, it looks like the AA scheme works with 200% scaling, hence my surprises

@Keiseiw74
Well, then I want you to describe what you did as thoroughly as possible, so that we can see
where the hook is!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I fired NPI with the gram settings on AA x8 and AA Transparency x8 By default, I set the resolution of the desktop screen and games the same, after canceling the DSR settings, I returned to the native resolution of 1920x1080, just a game in ATS and just switched to 200% scaling. The difference was big, it was noticeably better than with the DSR 2560x1440 with 100% scaling
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Keiseiw74
First of all 8xAA will ONLY get you 4xAA, so that is a waste, second I interpret you as you abandoned the DSR and went
back to your native res of 1920x1080. If that is correct, I don't believe you and you are just wishfully thinking it works.
So, to conclude this, I want you to post your latest config.cfg and as many screenshots it takes to show us the full NPI.
Also, find a spot in the game where you have power lines ALONG and CROSSING the road, take a screenshot from cabin
view and post that too.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I've experienced everything Keiseiw74 did, AA won't work well at x8, AA will work at x4 and scaling 100%, and at 1440p with DSR you should get better AA and image quality, although the sharpness will be reduced.
I would like to know what is the big difference when you say 200%.
Sorry for my bad English.
