[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
That is weird. BTW it seems to work better with ATS then with ETS2 for some reason. But the difference as compered to last week is amazing on both, in the garage area and in game. I use a curved HP Omen screen with 3440x1440 resolution and the Single AA ultra wide curved screen v3 monitor_config file. BenganJ, I hope you´ll get it working soon as well.

Oh, I have it working here since MANY years, I used this scheme already for many years under DX9.
So, I think I can compare what I see now with what I had earlier pretty well. The conclusion for me
is that the so called New Lighting System introduced in v1.40 of the game deteriorated my experience
of the game quite a bit.

Guys for me 2xMSAA is working very good in ETS2
While 4xMSAA in ATS sucks

Both should work properly in both games as long as you have hardware for it,
otherwise you have done something wrong. Which graphics card do you have?

Well, as I said, when it comes to the AA effect it should be the same in both games
and for the same AA level. Use power lines along and crossing the road as comparison.

Do you actually mean ATS sucks because your FPS are so low when using 4xMSAA compared to 2xMSAA in ETS2?
And you're not talking about the image quality?
If you do mean image quality, then:
Each game has it's own NPI game profile... check the ATS one is the same as the ETS2 one.
Ensure STEP 3 is correct for ATS.
Quick AA test.
Look at driving image - change to 125% scaling - look at driving image.
If there is no difference then you didn't have AA setup.
Set back to 100% scaling and check STEP 1 & 3.
A GTX1050Ti will struggle with 4xMSAA @ 1920x1080 if you want constant 60 fps.

Interesting. The new lighting system work better for me. It gives me less the ´game-graphics´ experience but more a ´Youtube-real-live-video´ experience. With the advice from this thread, I am now back to the smooth DX9 quality, but with the to my taste more realistic lighting system.

Sounds good to me, the important thing is what YOU think, so keep enjoying the game!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
TEST ONLY - Make the distant signs less blurred... but at what cost?
Single AA ultra wide curved screen (triple image with 6 degree angles) FOV 50 only & CUSTOM scaling %. Be warned, expect lower fps, 15% & 50% reduction from my original Ultra wide curved files.
My old GTX760 @ 3840x1024 using 4xMSAA gets 21fps (100%), 18 fps (custom 125%) & 12 fps (Custom 200%) at the location shown in pic.
I only run 2xMSAA for smooth 30 fps and so can't fully test how good this may look when driving.
Two files to test:
V3 FOV 50 - 6 degrees - 125%
These two lines must be set in config.cfg when using this multimon_config.sii file only.
uset r_scale_y "1"
uset r_scale_x "1.25" <--- Do this!
That will display as "Custom 125%" in game.
V3 FOV 50 - 6 degrees - 200%
These two lines must be set in config.cfg when using this multimon_config.sii file only.
uset r_scale_y "1"
uset r_scale_x "2" <--- Do this!
That will display as "Custom 200%" in game.
Don't pick 125% or 200% scaling in game as that won't work because they scale 'y' and we need to scale 'x'.
Set in game F4 FOV slider to 40 to ensure full vertical movement, even though it shouldn't affect the view it does prevent you looking up/down if left on a high value! .
EDIT:
If you currently use STEP 2 dual/triple/quad files only then you can also test this by using the files on this page: viewtopic.php?p=17548#p17548
