[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@toni1958 - With vsync="2" in config.cfg - That should lock 30 fps when using 60hz monitors, so if you're getting 34 you must have vsync off or vsync="1" max 60 fps.
Check NPI vsync settings - they should be default so game vsync can be used.
In nvidia surround, there's an option for bezel correction, tick it and then click the buttons to move the side images to line up through the bezel area.
Then the bezel corrected resolution is selected in game.
I use 2xAA and NCP for game sharpening 0.5 but grain value is 0.0 not default 0.17 i think.
I'm not sure the driver changes will change on the fly.

No, probably the graphics settings are read at startup of the game!
But I've never investigated that, just assumed it!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Thanks guys, I can confirm that V sync in config.cfg is set to 2 in both games, I was wondering why I was going over 30fps as it was supposed to be locked.
The ingame v sync has gone to economy mode(notebook) when I changed in config.cfg and v sync in NCP is adaptive. I haven't touched ingame or NCP settings so presumed this was done by NPI. Do those settings sound right to you guys?
NPI settings are: Frame rate limiter OFF
Frame rate limiter mode DEFAULT
Frame rate limiter V3 OFF
Vertical sync FORCE ON
V/sync smooth AFR behavior OFF
V/sync tear control ADAPTIVE
I am sure they were the settings from page 1 unless I misread something.
I'll try the sharpening and get back to you. Thanks

@toni1958
Obviously you have some setting that inhibits the frame limiting by setting r_vsync to "2" in config.cfg.
Can you test to set r_vsync to "0" and instead set Vertical Sync in NPI to 1/2 Refresh Rate? and see if
that gets you a limiting of FPS!
EDIT: BTW, If you have the Refresh Rate ingame set to a specific value, set it then instead to Default!

Thats done the trick, not gone over 30 at all now, 28-30 on open road and 20-23 in town, changing the setting in NPI seemed to automatically change the ingame v sync to disabled. Refresh rate was already on default as I read that earlier in the post. Wonder why mine is different to yours, perhaps we are not on the same game.... or even planet :-)
I'll try the new settings on ETS2 aswell because the fps was above 30 at times too. Thanks

Good, but also see to that t_averaging_window_length is set to "60" in config.cfg to
get even smoother experience!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I just noticed in the config.cfg, one of the settings 2nd from bottom is uset t_locked_fps "0"
