@Folks

I'm afraid I have to go back and RED mark ReShade again! I tested now with a pretty old version of ReShade
v3.4.1, the last release in the v3.x.x series, and after ALT'ing out to desktop and then back to game, I got
split Menu screen there too. SIGH! Anyone any idea?

Have been playing with the settings on my triples a bit more and tested the 2 lower AA options:

Code: Select all

'2x [2x Multisampling]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
Stable frame rate between 50-55fps.

Code: Select all

'4xS [Combined 1x2 SS + 2x Multisampling (D3D Only)]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
Stable frame rate between 35-40fps.

Quality difference between them is minimal on my resolution and I've actually increased the mirror quality settings so I'll be sticking with the higher performance settings for the time being.

I'm very happy with the results so far and haven't needed to delve into my mods which is great - huge thanks again to everyone's time and input!

@Foxman Good to hear your findings, i think most triple users with have to go with 2x or max 4x with the current highest gfx card available.
It would be better if we were applying AA to your 5760x1200 image instead of a 17280x1200 image that this AA solution has to do.

@BenganJ & @Road Runner

Another post 1 addition? And add to the steam header also?

Trouble shooting common possible issues:

Q - My gfx have no AA.
A - RE-CHECK STEP 1 and also make sure game SCALING is always 100%.

Q - My single monitor gfx in the menu are split up into sections.
A - RE-CHECK STEP 2 & 3.

Q - My truck no longer appears when driving.
A - RE-CHECK STEP 2 & 3.

Q - My FPS have tanked making the game unplayable.
A - Look at available AA pairs to use and set these two first:
'2x [2x Multisampling]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
RE-check game, increase AA as required.

Q - My FPS have tanked making the game unplayable.
A - RESET the game LOD's in global config.cfg, if you changed them.
uset r_mirror_view_distance "100"
uset g_lod_factor_pedestrian "1" Re-test increasing 1 at a time.
uset g_lod_factor_parked "1" Re-test increasing 1 at a time.
uset g_lod_factor_traffic "1" Re-test increasing 1 at a time.

Q - My game screen is now blurry.
A - RE-CHECK NPI "Texture filtering - LOD Bias (DX) -0.5, -1.0 or -1.5.
Negative values increase sharpness, positive numbers blur.

@BenganJ

First of all, apologies for not being around which for me are the 'early hours', sorry I need my sleep, so that I can function with some adequacy in the morning! :D

After further testing with 4.3.0 I can flip the graphics by using TAB/ALT going back into the game seems OK until using ESC causes split screen. As a personal comment I would never normally use TAB/ALT.

You ask about multicom file - I have made no changes to this and is at it was on first publication.

Oh, and the shader I am using Smart Sharp!

I'll perservere for a short while with 4.3.0 to see if any other issues develop. Never normally using TAB/ALT makes it a non issue for me!

@Road Runner

I take it you have one monitor, OK? So, what do you do when you want
e.g. use the web-browser when you're in game? Running windowed?
I use ALT+TAB frequently!
