[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Road Runner
Yes, I asked him to do so, but he just disappeared!
Would be nice to get that going too!

@Foxman
Just to say regarding FOV for triples:
I've just noticed (perhaps i'm late) that when you have FOV specified in the multimon_config.sii file then the in game zoom function (handy for reading signs) doesn't work.
Setting them to 0.0 and changing the in game FOV via F4 menu instead allows zoom to work.
name: center
horizontal_fov_override: 0.000000
vertical_fov_override: 0.000000
name: left
horizontal_fov_override: 0.000000
vertical_fov_override: 0.000000
Monitor: RIGHT
horizontal_fov_override: 0.000000
vertical_fov_override: 0.000000
If you have different FOV per monitor then you need to keep them in multimon_config.sii and no zoom.
This is testing with ATS.
@BenganJ - First post better now. I like to help people to try and understand how something works so they can better help themselves.
Typo
'2x [4x Multisampling]' <---[2x Multisampling]
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
Thanks

Might be that too, and the combination is disastrous!

@Foxman - In regards to FPS.
Try lowering your resolution one notch.
For me 3840x1024 down to 3072x768 (3x1024x768).
4xMS 4xSGSS and increase sharpness filter to de blur it.
Possibly increase -ve LOD one notch also.
Having slow downs and stutters all the time or turning vsync off and getting screen tearing isn't worth it for me.
I drive with constant 30FPS. Vsync=2 60hz monitors (3840x1024).
When i first set vsync=2 and started driving it felt horrible but i persisted and after an hour i suddenly thought, i haven't had any slow downs or stutters.
So years later, same pc/setup, still smooth 30fps.
However, just to qualify the above, truck driving isn't racing.
I have to have 60fps with racing sims.
Live for speed, GTR, GTL, GTR2, GTR2 P&G mod, Project cars, Project cars 2.
I can have a full grid of cars (63 in GTR2) in all but project cars (max 20) and project cars2 (max 10).
Time for new pc, but ETS2/ATS stops me from driving cars, so still good enough for now.
Q6600 2.4 @3.3 since new 10+ years ago with 8gig and GTX760.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Thank you all.
You may know that I still have a Low-end graphics card (I am saving for a High-end card :D ) and after a lot of trying I now have the best graphics results with a stable FPS of 30 to 40 FPS.
The most important factor to test is this: (Start Low)
'2x [2x Multisampling]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
'4x [4x Multisampling]'
'4x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
'8xQ [8x Multisampling]'
'8x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
'32xS (Combined 2x2SS + 8xMS)'
'8x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
It took a while before I realized that. Noob :mrgreen:

@olaf28
Ah nice, so you have joined the club too! :D Yes, I added 2x AA today to that list,
ought to have done that from the beginning, but to my excuse, AA is hard on the
machine resources, so I didn't think too many with low end machines would try
this out!
