@Road Runner

Hahahaha, I have half of my 10TB disk area here filled with ReShade versions.
I can't delete things you know, old school! So, I will do some tests myself and
maybe the reason that v4.x.x versions doesn't work is that the creator of it
has done the integration of ReShade filters into the Nvidia Geforce Experience
to be used via it's game overlay. The two maybe tries to do the same hooks
into the game engine.

Also in regard to AA, this one sits nicely between 2 & 4.

'2x [2x Multisampling]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'

--->'4xS [Combined 1x2 SS + 2x Multisampling (D3D Only)]'
--->'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'

'4x [4x Multisampling]'
'4x Sparse Grid Supersampling'

My testing of gpu usage with AA gives:
2x in the 50's
4xs in the 80's - quality much better than 2x
4x in the 90's

May help triple AA FPS without losing too much image quality.

@BenganJ
Can you change "multimon" in step 3 to "multi monitor"?
Just in case a single user that has just copied multimon file into their game and then sees this and thinks it applies to them.

Step 3 [Single]: For single monitor setup!

Step 3 [Multi]: For multimon setup! <--- For multi monitor setup

Thanks!

@BenganJ - Sorry, lost connection before i could edit my post to say...

STEP 2 Doesn't stress that the custom multimon file is a must for single monitor users.

Steam users complaining about flipping gfx and advise each other on the old background waves fix!

Thanks again.

Mr B, I think you will find that you can run with Reshade V4 up to the 4.2 range. There were some major background changes made in 4.3 to allow for DX12, DX8 and Vulkan.

So the latest version that can be run with enhanced AA is 4.3.0 :D

@Road Runner

I have now tested successively newer versions of ReShade and I think the problem
is like I posted before. Every version before 4.4.0 seems to work witout any problem,
but from that version I get a graphic problem already when choosing profile to run.
Can you please verify this, so that I can at least give some information about it in
the first post!

I think that the release of 4.4.0 was at that point in time when Nvidia released a driver
that had ReShade shader support and you could use them from within the game overlay
you can activate in GeForce Experience! One can see it also when installing ReShade that
the choice of DirectX version no longer read Direct3D 10+, but instead Direct3D 10/11/12.

EDIT: As I found out the transition was made between 4.3.0 and 4.4.0, so for me I tested
Smart_Sharp in 4.3.0, worked like a charm! :D

Spot on Mr B, 4.3.0 and with Smart Sharp. :D

From article below:

Experimental DirectX 12 and Vulkan support was introduced respectively in Reshade 4.3.0 and 4.4.0

@Road Runner

Thanx, then I will write down some info on this to put in the first post.
I'm going to miss all RED TEXT there! I will have to add a lot of NOTES
instead, I think! :lol: :lol: :lol:
