[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Ghastous - A 1080ti at single 1920x1080 upto triple 5760x1080 should be able to do 4xMSAA at 60fps.
So unless your resolution is much higher or you consider 60fps too low, then yes 2xMSAA for you.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
My resoultion is not 1080p im on 1440p and my monitor res is 3440x1440
Also do u need to have shadow quality on ultra cos if i change it then it takes the AA off the game.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Ghastous - No, shadows have no impact on AA working or not, just 100% scaling, AA bit, 2 or 4xMSAA, 2 or 4xSGSS.
Just ensure you have steps 1 to 3 correctly set.
Ultra shadows are blurry around the edges whereas high to low aren't and this AA doesn't apply AA to shadows. So perhaps that's what you are seeing and thinking AA is off? 2xAA is OK, but you really should use 4xAA for best image quality.
You can have better shadows by settings this: uset r_sun_shadow_texture_size "8192"
Quick test for AA working, look at cam 1 and move the view around, change to 125% scaling and look around again. If both looked the same then you don't have AA working. Set back to 100% and check settings.
The vast majority of shimmering/flickering is gone with 4xAA and so the image will look much better when looking around or driving.
So you don't get at least 60fps with that res or 60 is too low for you?
I have GTX760 at 3840x1024 and so use 2xMSAA with shadows on LOW at 30fps. I can use 4x but then it drops into the 20's far too often.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker thats a bit weird then cos when i changed shadows from ultra to high it turned my AA off and i can tell cos normally my fps when not in a city arer 72fps but it shot up to 90 which is my cap so i saved a reloaded and it was all back to normal. I do have shadows on 8192. as i followed most of that guide. Just a shame i cant get a decent fps with 4xmsaa but then again msaa is a system hog which is why 99% of games dont use it now.
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Ghastous - Yes msaa is demanding but as these games don't support it then we are brute forcing it on to them.
The problem with low fps is probably not helped by the new lighting system...

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Hi everyone is there a way to use V-Sync only while driving? Because setting v-sync in the config.cfg file makes the game load very slower : (
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Is anyone aware of how we could increase the vegetation scenery LOD. I know Oliver outlined a process in the "Graphics related LOD changes in top-most game_data.sii" section that no longer appears to be working. Is there a mod that exists presently that would allow those setting changes to be made (or already have the changes made)?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@0xExtern - Why not set 'vsync force on' in NPI and keep game vsync off / '0'?
I use vsync in game and never noticed slow loading...

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker i did the 125% scaling and no difference at all so for me MSAA doesnt work as ive reset and tried again and the same so might aswell revert back to normal AA again
done some more testing and when loading the game AA works but change the scaling and it takes AA off 4xMSAA i get 44fps turn scaling up to 125% my fps goes back up to 90fps so its turning it off. Restart of the game AA comes back on.
Reason for low fps is im using Jon Rudda trucks which are insane ammount of detail compated to SCS trucks which are a bit meh tbh lol

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Whaaaaat? sorry dude. A 1650 is waaaay more than enough to run the game at 60fps constant all the time. If BenganJ cant, he is doing something wrong.
I already know two friends who have a 1650 and even a 1050 and they dont have issues running the game at 60fps with NPI.
Why they should? this game does not require, it shouldnt, not even a mid generation videocard.
Unless you use 4k scale, the game does not require a strong videocard, in fact the problem of lose of performance is not coming from weak videocards,
its coming from the bottleneck that the game is having trying to make the game run in a single core CPU with a waay faster GPU that should be using more than one core.
And again, BenganJ is doing something wrong, and i told him ages ago. I have the same card, and my game runs at constant 60fps ALL THE TIME.
And if i deactivate vsync, it goes up to 100-120fps without any problems. Hell as i said, a 1050 is even enough to run the game at 60fps in fact, a 1050 will perform
even better cuz the videocard is not requiring so many cores to be able to sync with the cpu.
Windows 10 xxxx.xxx whatever is the last version... lol.
