[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Wine appears as he opens it and disappears

@rakiboy
ODD, but it would be nice to know WHY! BTW, can you check in some way, either within Wine
or through a ps command if you have at least ONE instance of the EXE running?

@Keiseiw74 - No, 'High Quality' is the best image available.
Optimisations are not good, they reduce quality in order to help get higher fps.
Any optimisation is a reduction in quality. If all the game assets were higher quality models then you wouldn't be able to process all that data. Instead the game gets "optimised" so models further away have reduced quality, for example.
A basic different example:
A tyre physics model may have 10,000 sample data point around it's carcass to get accurate simulation of tyre flex, grip etc but times 4 wheels then that's a lot of data for the cpu to crunch.
Optimise to 100 sample per wheel is good enough for a game. You get reduced quality.
Mirrors - high quality & medium res = AA

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@rakiboy
Well, as far as I can see, there's a sort of font problem, but up at some default one.
The big problem comes when NPI wants to know the settings in the driver. Which
exact 460.xx driver version do you have installed?
EDIT: Did you unzip all the content of the zip into an empty folder?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
My driver is 460.73.01
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@rakiboy
Then upgrade to this version, 460.79 or later, or use NPI 2.3.0.12!!!!
EDIT: You have now a mismatch between NPI and driver versions!!!!!!!!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I made all the settings and got a good picture, but the trees along the road became of poor quality, can this be somehow corrected?

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
unfortunately nothing worked I updated the graphics driver and none of them wanted to start and install

@rakiboy
I'm sad to hear that. Well, we had a good try! Thanks for doing all the odd things I asked you to do!
