@BenganJ @clear F1
Setting NPI - Vertical sync tear control - Adaptive. Broke the fps and now displaying 60 fps?

The answer to displaying 60 fps when using vsync=2 was to reset NPI profile and setup again.
And that worked until setting tear control to adaptive.
But you had drops to 20 fps instead of staying locked at 30 fps with tear control - standard.

I think the best solution for you to try clear F1 is:
In game use vsync=0
Set NPI Vertical sync - half refresh rate.
Set Vertical sync tear control - adaptive.

Does that give 30 fps?
If so that'll drop to 29,28,27 etc if required rather than 20 fps.

Or

Did you trying forcing 60hz in game?
uset r_mode_refresh "60"
uset r_vsync "2"
with NPI vertical sync options defaulted.

@olaf28 - I have a GTX760 runinng 3840x1024
It's simple, buy a new / newer graphics card or lower settings in game like i have to.
I run locked and smooth 30 fps everywhere.
STEP 1 NPI only except 2xMS+2xSGSS
Don't use anything beyond STEP 3.
Shadows on low and uset r_sun_shadow_texture_size "8192"
r_sun_shadow_texture_size "16384" kills my fps, you might want to keep it at 4096 or 2048.
HDR off - Using HDR drops my frames into 20's fps so i just don't use it.

If you're using "mirror resolution medium" set that to low so AA isn't applied to mirrors, might help a bit.

When setting game resolution to lower, can you change your monitor settings (on the monitor) to disable "fit to screen" or something like that.
This would then give you a smaller image on the screen but it won't be blurry.

@ Bengan,

I have an intel core i7 cpu with 16GB Ram. That should be enough for now.

I had another question about the settings in NPI if is use vsync = 2 or 3.
I use:
-Vertical Sync = Use the 3D application setting
-Vertical Sync Tear Control = Adaptive
This is correct I assume?

@JH Trukker
I will adjust the settings as you propose. But how do I turn off the HDR?

Thanks for all the help

@JHTrucker

I'll just add to clear F1's problem, that exactly on that video spot there is some unoptimized stuff
which makes the FPS drop, just as described it happens in Kiev (Kyiv) in Arayas Ukraine. But as you
say, is is a question of having that gradually happen and not flipping downwards!

Correct.

HDR - In game graphic settings - untick HDR if ticked.

@BenganJ - I guess i caused the problem by suggesting DSR as an extra option!
All is fine using native res.

@JHTrucker

Well, for me the DSR on top is the best that ever happened to me, but
sure, the extra bitmap to render WILL make the FPS drop. :(

@JHTrucker

Thank you. :D

We set up as suggested below and tested in the same area.
In game use vsync = 0
Set NPI Vertical sync-half refresh rate.
Set Vertical sync tear control-adaptive.

OSD keeps 30fps, but it is jerky. This is especially noticeable when turning.

For a while, set it to 1080p at 30fps and play.
I really thank you. :)

@clear F1 @BenganJ

This: "OSD keeps 30fps, but it is jerky. This is especially noticeable when turning."

That's the reason why i've just used vsync=2 in game rather than NPI as it's much smoother and therefore playable.
But i thought NPI 1/2 rate might be ok for your GTX1070, but it seems not.
