A post, 4 pages back, by ZeroHour is a question regarding why SSAO can't be used with NPI AA.

His reply to me clearly states he has a 3080ti and likes having good AA but misses having SSAO.
https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.p ... 471#p53471

So it does work.

"400% scaling + SSAO @ 4k on my 3080 Ti 40 fps."
"I go back and forth between good AA and SSAO."

The overarching issue is this:

2 weeks ago I had it working with a 3070.

Now, with a 3080Ti following same steps as before, it isn't.

I'm flumoxed !

I'm trying every perm and comb imaginable... fixed Vert sync, VRR in game mode, setting HD rez vs PC rez... everything.

Tried 4 different drivers.

I saw a list of AA compatibility codes somewhere... lost them.

Maybe a different code may work ?

Just ain't happening.

But I am gonna carry on.

But its almost like you and Olaf28 don't want to be helped... post your current game log and image of your NPI settings.
You never know, you may just have something set wrong.

@JHTrucker
Yes of course I want to be helped.
But at the moment I haven't the time to dig into the problem. Sorry to bother you

So I finally got it working.

On my RTX 3080TI with i7 7700k from an nvme 970 Pro, it appears I need to use G Sync on my 4K TV in Game Mode.

AA working great now

Weird huh ?

Don't know ... don't care ... it works so I'm happy.

Interesting observation again ... ATS deffo look better generally than ETS2 graphically, but uses more resources... so FPS worse with same settings.

Secondly, mirror image in ATS is 'stunning' on truck mirrors ... same as the F2 'fake' mirrors... but in ETS2 the fixed truck mirrors are awful... almost as though the image is running at 480p.

Hope that may help someone.

Running on 517.x game ready drivers. 1440p with 4xMSAA/4xSGSS. Everything else maxed out... rarely drop below 60 fps (busy junctions for e g.)... otherwise it's usually 80 to 120 fps.

N/B I can run at 4K and 2xMSAA/2xSGSS at a simlar FPS ... but the flickering/jaggies etc are slightly, but noticeably, worse, so I prefer the former. YMMV !

Just to be clear:
Did you use these settings?
