The open beta is out.

I think SCS map rebuild is postponed.

May be something for a few people. But releasing Iberian Highways DLC in 18 months, FMOD to replace bad sounds with bad sounds and "new" lights from 1.40 killing almost anything on maps, from FPS to sounds...this is a step.....just a step. Its pretty clear the huge wishlist of users is ignored once again, i will say for 2 years now.
A massive design update can be doned by a major reskin of textures, from roads to buildings and make the SCS map look somehow new. Map rebuild? Nope. You have people wasting time in dumb projects like photo enhancer or multiplayer mods....SCS can have just a few employees....

Well they have announced rebuilds of Lyons, France and a rebuild of Austria. But it looks like those won't be coming in this update.

As Tapir said, using all cpu cores would be a massive update for everyone.
They can't add AA now as the current 'deferred' rendering doesn't support it.
Years ago SCS Max said something like this:
A design decision for ETS2 was to have real time truck shadows (if you add bullbars, beacons etc they also become part of the truck shadow).
That needed deferred rendering but doesn't support AA and hence why scaling is used to compensate for the lack of AA.

Also there is no Antialiasing. There are guys like me outside, that are waiting since 1.36 for this. Six updates later still no word about it. The game is ugly as removed.

well, its on the TODO list for some time already. but there is little reason to do it now if we plan to change renderer and throw significant parts of it out of the window (aka DX12 & comp. support).

Sadly the game is at its maximum limits. The new light :to_pick_ones_nose_eat: ....killed the rest of available resources from it.
Any improvement its blocked for that matter. I'm looking at videos on YouTube and its sad to see those empty streets. "Simulator" its a pretencious name for this game. Once i've got to drive a real truck i've stopped playing this game. Nothing from the game is similar to reality.

So.....they screwed people with wheels...hmmm....enjoy playing the game with a keyboard....this is getting better and better.
