[REL] Road to Asia v1.7.1 for ETS2 1.48 by TerraMaps
Re: [REL] Road to Asia v1.4 for ETS2 1.45 by TerraMaps
Fix for problems with Project Caucasus.
If you see no city names in the map this is caused by a city name conflict with Project Caucasus
There are two different cities called Derbent. One in Dagestan and one in Uzbekistan
Please add this fix. https://truckymods.io/euro-truck-simula ... -combo-fix
Or check the GMC recommend Combo's. https://terramaps.net/forum/threads/gmc ... ombos.192/

You gonna work in the Caucasus? Aight, seems like my job's done - o7. To be honest, was already looking for a way out of mapping for, let's say, personal reasons -don't ask. From now on, I'll only do technical updates. No new content.olaf28 wrote: ↑August 26th, 2022, 6:09 pmThere is a problem with the City names when using Project Caucasus. The city of Derbent is also in our (future) mapFunTrucker_18 wrote: ↑August 26th, 2022, 5:49 pmStrange shit, tho. Probably SCS fucked up things again.
But I don't got time for mapping at the moment. If the error is something "small", everybody with knowledge is free to make a temp fix, that's not a problem.
Otherwise, I'd like to ask for your patience. In October, I take my leftover Vacation for 2 weeks, then I could give it a try to update.
Btw. Is it known what exactly causes the problem, maybe it's just something with the definitions and changing some lines before I go to sleep could solve the issue.
You can count on that
They have tested our map in their combo.

Don't ask me about my mods. I'll update them as I please, because I can do whatever the **** I want.

I'm pretty sure Olaf was talking about Derbent in Uzbekistan.
EuRoadNet and Projekt Česko developer.

You are right, cause there is no more Derbent on the RTA map.ItzHonzula wrote: ↑August 28th, 2022, 10:37 amI'm pretty sure Olaf was talking about Derbent in Uzbekistan.

No, not yet.
EDIT: Times ago there was a special RTASIA-BAKU-FC.scs ferry connection, but this old ferry connection doesn`t work anymore and isn't needed.
But if you use the Turkmenbashi port and ferry to Baku your navigation is fixed.
Here you can see my way from Turkmenbashi over Baku to Moscow with updated navigation.

That the name city of Derbent did not come into our Def file completely by accident.FunTrucker_18 wrote: ↑August 28th, 2022, 6:10 am

There are two different cities called Derbent. One in Dagestan and one in Uzbekistan.
In addition, Project Caucasus is a fairly old map that hasn't really been updated in a long time. So we didn't take that into account. However, when we saw our 'mistake' we asked GMC to make a fix. That GMC makes the fixes for us is an agreement we have had for a few months now.
But if you are planning to update Project Caucasus, we may want to connect at Atyrau in the furture!
The reason we do this is mainly because The Great Steppe no longer works really well and causes more and more problems. As a result, we no longer have a good RC with RoEx or Rusmap. And what have understood it will take a while before Promods has a new version of Kazakhstan ready and we do not want to depend on this.
But it wasn't our intention that other maps like Project Caucasus fall victim to this.
So I hope you're willing to think along with us on this.

Guys, did anyone mention that it is Caucasus map updated? That's why I had a broken road. Now that I replaced the old one with the new one, everything is fine.
