@VSigda - If the same settings in NPI and NCP are different then NPI can't be applying them.

NPI just changes the settings in the driver and so both NPI and NCP should show the same... you shouldn't need to changes them both.
Perhaps your NPI version isn't compatible with your driver version? or you applied old save to new NPI?

You can use NCP to changes settings that NPI doesn't now have, like sharpening etc.

I can't help as I use an old driver/NPI with my old hardware.

@AustinN360 - Are you sure you're using the step 2 file (single monitor)?
Without it the menu can split into 4 images and perhaps something like that is happening to 1.43?

I haven't tried 1.43 yet...

If I were you i'd do this:
NPI - restore defaults for game and then apply just step 1 settings.
Rename config.cfg so the game generates a new one and then apply step 3 to it.

Add other settings as required once you can see it works.

I am definitely using the multimon 4 single monitor option and following all the guide to the letter for my version of NPI and my nvidia driver. Just unsure what's going on with it.

@JHTrucker - your right as I am using old saves, things used to work as you said just hit apply in NPI and this reflects in NCP. I’ll check into this further.

I’ll reset to default values in NPI for ATS and manually re enter everything and save and export. This leads to a question when I do the save and export for the ATS profile for later use. Which option do I use, Option 1: save current profile or option 2: save current profile with pre defined settings. (I’m not at the computer so going off of short term memory as wording might not be correct for the different options)….but which one might be better to use.

I don't think I have to go further as in rebuilding cfg files but I’ll keep the option open.

@AustinN360 - good luck with all this, settings take a little bit but as you know end result is worth it.

Cheers

Edit: I-rebuilt everything fresh in NPI and NCP and everything is working as it should and ATS 1.43 is looking good. I do use JBX Graphics as well which does a super nice job with your scheme. I learnt lots today in regards to saving ATS profiles in NPI. Thanks for your help!!!

@VSigda - Glad you got it to work. I don't spend a lot of time on the internet each day, just a quick check in here, hence my late reply!

To answer the NPI save question.
Option 1: save current profile - Only saves the changes you made.
Option 2: save current profile with pre defined settings. Saves all profile settings regardless.

I'd just use option 1, that way you don't potentially mess with Nvidia's other settings in newer drivers by importing old settings, if you see what I mean.

Guys, what are the reasons for using "Prefer Maximum Performance" instead of "Optimal Power"? I tried using Optimal Power instead of Maximum Performance with basic setup and (using MSI Afterburner overlay) I noticed significant drop in watts used by my 1660ti (from 80-90 even 100 to 40-50 maybe 60) without performance taking a hit, at least from my short test driving on vanilla map, didn't try modded ones yet. Are there any side effects I should know about? As the energy costs are increasing, it's always better to run more efficiently if possible but if there are any significant side effects, I'll keep it on Maximum Performance. :good:

@PiotrGT - Max performance just means keeping your gpu at max speed so it can cope with the changing demands as you drive around.

If you use 'optimal' or lower then the gpu lowers it's speed when it doesn't need full speed (vsync on and fps are fixed at that level and therefore doesn't need to work harder) and saves energy, like you have seen, but if the gpu can't 'speedup' quick enough when required then you'll get a stutter etc.

So there's nothing wrong with setting what suits you, power wise, just keep in mind if you get stutters that could be the cause rather than other settings.

I found a slight issue but one thing I did was to delete the config file in my profile and let it produce a new one. Also try the settings on a new profile and see if you have any issues.
