It depends on your set monitor refresh. If 144Hz I would suggest 1/3 Refresh Rate for Vertical Sync
and as that gives a Frame Limit of 48 I would suggest t_averaging_window_length "96", double value
of the Limit.

If the settings are done, make a short video with Shadowplay BIG size FPS counter, so this old GrandPa
can see it properly! I'm curious as hell!

Testing done...
Result : frame is vary between 41 to 48 and its a night highway drive... when petrol pump came FPS drop and choppy screen issue is there.

The also do a test with 1/4 Refresh Rate set to Vertical Sync in NPI!
The goal is to get a FPS as constant as possible for a long time.

And please, do the testing on an EMPTY profile, as we do NOT want bad mapping
or bad mods in general to interfere!

I think my pc or you can say my cpu is handle only 36 FPS for ETS2.

Setting G sync on, Monitor refresh rate: 144

Preferred Refresh rate: 1/4, uset t_averaging_window_length "72"

RESULT: I got stable 36-35 FPS almost 97% time and lowest got 26 FPS in city, there is no Choppy screen issue.

Minus point: far end graphic is blurred a little bit and power line also...and screen pause for a second but it's a once in 15 mins or 30 mins...

Let me ask you one question
my game is too bright from the cockpit view especially in the day time between 10 AM to 3 PM time, at the same time I am seeing from outside (chasing camera) it looks perfect and not bright too much.
Why so?


I think I will stick with above mentioned setting only...

Hi there.
Sorry for the interruptive comment.

You're still obsessed with fps, are you getting 80fps-120fps if you don't have a fps limit? (144Hz, G-sync and V-sync both on with NCP)
My CPU and GPU are not as good as yours, but they go up and down from 75-105fps. (I don't know your CPU)
From there I'm getting a smooth 60fps game using a 1/2 refresh rate of 120Hz. (In reality, I'm not able to maintain the 95%-98% recommended by Bengan)
As I've said before, it can still drop to 40fps in some places.

Isn't it only at intersections and roundabouts where the fps drops that the interruption problem occurs? (The screen is getting choppy)
I have that problem only in those conditions, but I have tested a lot in places where the fps drops and it never goes away.
If I use the same settings for G-sync in the NPI, I don't have the problem of chattering on straight roads, even where the fps drops. (There is some loss of smoothness, but no cracking or choppiness)
If you are using 30 or 36fps and the fps drops below that a lot, I would recommend turning off G-sync and using Bengan's NPI settings. (Settings on first page of thread)

You can see the above in my YT video. It rarely happens in Scandinavia and Turkmenistan where I recently posted. This is because I am able to maintain 60fps close to 100%.
Where does t2patel test for the problems you comment on?
