@VSigda

Thanks for confirming JHTrucker's findings!
@BenganJ I never thought I would say this but I’m really starting to like ATS 1.40.1 , just give it another 6 months of testing and I can see things getting even better!!!

@VSigda

Well, to be honest, ATS looks worse than ETS2, probably due to all those
desert areas where the sun doesn't give any shadows to talk about, making
the scenery pretty dull.

Did we ever find out if the reflection setting is changing anything because we have 50-100-200% Scaling?

I use 50% reflections to keep them blurry.
I don't want the traffic to have a showroom deep polished shine!!!
The world has artistic touches to look 'weathered' so why have overly shiny/clean traffic?

But i have wet reflections off because of this:

Not all traffic even bothers to bring a reflection with them.
Hope it's a bug that scs are still working on.

@MrPapaBear

Yes Sir, I have a large wet spot on my floor here, due to the fact I'm crying rivers over the new Lighting System in 1.40. :taunt: :drinks:

@MrPapaBear - Sorry for late reply... the 'weather quality' settings in game should really be labeled 'wet weather quality' because they do nothing to non rain weather, same nice skyboxes for ultra or low for example. But Low will disable all wet reflections.

These are the config.cfg lines it alters:

uset g_rain_reflect_hookups "1" <-- your trailer(s)
uset g_rain_reflect_actor "1" <-- your truck
uset g_rain_reflect_traffic "1" <-- traffic
uset g_rain_reflect_cache "1" <-- all the other stuff like lit lamp posts / buildings etc Ultra=1 & high/med/low=0 for example.
uset g_rain_reflection "3" <-- ??? i forgot this one - trees and stuff like that i think.

So you can set them as you want 0 or 1 to see what looks best.

@BenganJ - Can you add 'New 26/04/2021' to the menu AA update to help those who look in from time to time to spot it. It's been a year since we last made a change to the core 3 steps!
Thanks.

DONE! //BenganJ

Nice and I have to explain. I could just use what you and Bengan provide but I like to learn in the process. So if I do this that happens. I found this forum is awesome in this persuade, because like you just did. it's not just change this and its good no you explain the small stuff and i love this. Thank you
