@Joni.Dimoni

That "soapy" look comes from the new Lighting System SCS introduced in 1.40.
Read back a few pages and to here and you'll see a heavy discussion about it!

Yup Joni, we all get that soapy look in the game now.
I have the sharpening filter of the nvidia control panel at 0.25,
you cant raise it more than that or you will get pixelated skyboxes!
It helps a bit with the blur, but not really a big noticeable change.

Btw, sharpening has nothing to do with tonemaps and lightning...

Interesting any test on the 0.25 Sharpening, so far my verdict from reading her was Sharpening off with 1.40 because of the sky boxes. It would be awesome if the 0.25 keeps sky clear, and at least gives some sharpening. So what do you have the negative load bias set on, or does that have no effect?

It keeps skyboxes as they should. Maybe you notice just a little pixelation in some clouds where the sun comes in, but overall, 0.25 is fine for me. At least it gives the game that little sharpening that helps.
You can raise it to 0.40 or something like that, thats up to you and personal preference.

Lod bias doesnt seem to make any changes, doesnt matter if i use -1.500 or 0. It is supossed to help with flickering, but i dont think it does, after all. Worst update ever, so far.

I can´t get get my ETS2 image to be without flickering. I am sure I am doing something wrong. I followed all your first post instructions, but the game just keeps on flickering around edges of objects. In game this already happens in the garage area, most visibly when the camera starts moving. The flickering is on grill of the truck, the office and garage windows, the toolboxes in the garage etc. I have a NVidia GTX 1060 6 GB video card, two screens, but I use only one for ETS2: a HP Omen Curved 34" screen, 3440x1440 screen resolution. Or is this flickering something all are dealing with?

Thank in advance for any advice.

@Marx

Sounds like too much flickering! Can you do this, instead of describing the situation in the garage,
drive somewhere you see power lines in front of you and/or along the road? Take a screenshot to
start with, just for me to get a clue on the problem.

He is describing shimmering, not flickering. Thats something else.
Probably he is not using the NPI scheme correctly.

It might be shimmering. It seems like the AA is not working or not working sufficiently. I also witness flickering of images in the distance when driving.
An example, but the effect is not that easy to see on screenshot, because the effect becomes more visible with the camera movement.

@Marx

That image is of no interest for me. Please do what I asked you to do!
