Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
Good evening, I hope my post is ride in this topic.
So I have set everything correct up with NPI and the config/multimon, but I cant get my bezels right. Im running a triple setup, bezels are 9mm thick. It should be this option right?
But no matter what I do, even absurd numbers like -200.600000 dont change any bezel.
Any my second question is, how can I change the viewing angle? I have set my monitors at 60° and it feels completely odd. With the standard config it was quite ok, but I think it is at 45°
Hope someone can help me here
Regards faker

Code: Select all
// Adjust bezels to suit your setup (my example 10mm bezels).
// monitor_config : _Left.AA {
// heading_offset: -3.600000 <- My Bezel (4.0 moves closer
// to center / 3.0 away)
// monitor_config : _Right.AA {

@faker
The multimon file in STEP 2 of the NPI thread is just a game generated file with my AA fix added in. So both will look the same, angle wise.
You can use nvidia surround to do bezel correction by increasing the image size.
Or you can keep your 3 x monitor resolution and do as you've highlighted, with my bezel info.
What that does is just turn the left / right images towards the centre.
Small amounts only as it's degrees.
Just to check... are you changing the numbers at the top in my //examples remarks or actually much further down in the left and right image section? How funny would that be?
But if your monitors are bent towards you you could try this file i created sometime ago for PzR Slim...
viewtopic.php?p=23096#p23096
This file will work for FOV 53 by default & FOV 60 when edited by changing the values further down as stated in the top remarks area.

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
Good evening all
I hope this post dosent come accross as rude, or just demanding. I apologise porfusely if this is the wrong place to post. I have tried to follow every step in the guides, but I have an unusual set up and I am trying to get the most from it. By that end, I have made my own multimon but I just cant get it right. I would post a picture, but I fear ridicule and there huge, to big to post.
I have a 3 screen set up:-
Center is a curved 49.9 ich Phillips @ 5120 x 1440
Left is a 21 inch generic Monitor running @ 1920 x 1080
Right is a 22 inch generic monitio running @ 1920 x 1080
Both side panels are at roughly 85 degrees offset, almost right angles, and I am trying to get that true truck cab feel when driving, not needing to turn the screen to see, all left and right at a junction. (it works beutifully in PC2 with their interface)
I use SWRE to produce the single image, which spans all 3 screens @ 8960 x 1440, and I am happy to loose the cut outs around the 2 side monitors.
I have tried making a 4 screen set, and making the center panel 2 screen, I have tried as triples - but in both cases I cant seem to get the ratios correct, so as the image is stretched. The trucks feels way to wide, and I keep hitting things with the ride side of the truck, making the game frustrating.
Its been fun trying to work it out, but my brain cant get around it. Is it possible to reach out for some assistance? Many thanks in advance.

As you want that real feel, i'd use a1337cookie's info - Finding the Mathematically Correct FOV & Multimon Settings For ANY Monitor Setup: viewtopic.php?p=43646#p43646
If you are unsure, post in there and i'm sure a1337cookie will be happy to help.

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
Ok, despite the fact that the last few first time posters that requested a multimon file didn't even bother to acknowledge my reply (with a file), I decided to have a go anyway.
It's a bit messy as I can't get anywhere near your huge 8960x1440 resolution.
Using my laptop 1366x768 and a game window of just 1366x200 to get a similar aspect ratio whilst still being almost able to see what I was doing.
It's 4 images, 2 centre & left/right. With 3 the Centre was badly stretched when offsetting the wheel to the left.
The left/right will need adjusting (size wise) to align with your mismatched monitor sizes.
If you're not going to rotate the view then it doesn't need to be perfectly aligned, I think.
Is this what you wanted?

Re: ATS/ETS2 Screen configs for Single, Dual, Triple or Quad screen setups.
That Sir, looks superb.
Apologies I did check this morning to see if my post was approved but I’m not returning home for a couple of hours, where I can check. It wasn’t a deliberate move to ignore your request. My deepest thanks and I will respond in due course with the requested detail.
Your hard work isn’t lost and it’s greatly appreciated.
Edit
Just home after work, and Yes, thats looking pretty good. This is where I was on a 3 screen set up.
I had considered 4 screen, especially to move the drivers position to the left, and that would certainly help with the hitting things on the right deal, I think,
I have attached my file for 3 screen, with the screen sizes set perfectly for the size of my screens, its just the alignment thats horrificly wrong, seeing your image, its due to the stretch of the 3 screens.
I did try a four... the file is named 4 but doesnt seem to show that way...I believe I got the windows/screens in the right place but the screen alignment, camera position is just way way off...
Looking at the image you posted, it now seems clear to me, that its the centralised position that I was having, is the problem, and why the screens dont align easily.
Again many thanks for the help.
