@BenganJ let's hope that The Great Steppe indeed is on hold instead of closed. It really is a beautiful map. Fingers crossed.

@Vinnie Terranova
It is what Roman, 09_KZ has said himself. What he hasn't told us is WHEN, as it is dependent
on a private personal thing. I certainly keep my fingers crossed!

Recently, I began to notice that from a hobby I liked it grew into an unjustified addiction and eventually began to annoy me.
Instead of sitting down to play a little and relax, lately I have been sitting for hours at the editor until the morning, then getting up from the computer like a wilted vegetable. Because I felt responsible for myself and knew that people were expecting him. Then, when I made the release, I began to get bored with various questions about unjustified errors, why this or that does not work for me ... (examples: outdated connection cards with Ershov and the addon road to the Aral Sea) although the description contains instructions for correct installation ...
(in general, ignorance or laziness in reading the description, or the territorial greed of users also played a role) plus everything my old laptop with the latest update turned the game into a slideshow at the most minimal settings.
The last step was that not a very good event happened. I got sick and sat at home in a bad mood. (now I have more or less recovered) I climbed into the forums to read and suddenly the thought came to me: you need it friend, do you enjoy it !? and I thought not! the development of the map only began to annoy me. Therefore, I closed it wherever I opened it and now I am absolutely calm.
There are many interesting and useful activities that I forgot about in the rush of building.

@09_KZ: I can fully understand your decision.
We all will really miss your work an I’m sure everyone is thankful for the great map you gave us, thank you for that.
But there is also a life beyond ets and especially your mental and physical well being.
Hope you’ll stick around at the forum and enjoy yourself and all the other things in life!

100% with you. People don't give a damn about us staying in a chair for hours to make things for them. Also, i agree about lazy people (youngsters mostly) who are expecting for you to arrange their mod manager. I cannot tell you how many told me to enter in discord video with them to do that. Of course you are annoyed by this.
If you have something else to do, great for you. Some people are bad, you will need to learn how to ignore them, in life in general. And this ETS enviroment can be toxic at times. You know better what is better for you. Regards.

Hi @ 09_KZ I really understand when a hobby turns into a rut. You give everything for the hobby and at some point you wonder. Is this still fun?
And then all those toxic comments don't help either. Even now that you've decided to quit, the comments are so annoying and incomprehensible. It's all about what they want and what you think about it they don't care.
But there are also plenty who support you. Whatever decision you make.
Stay strong!

I'm with you. Especially I get your point. When you got a job like mine, you meet idiotic people in real life and this is very annoying. People complaining, asking you stuff and get mad at you cuz you don't give an "correct" answer. Same shit, different situation. That's why I leave my uniform at home so people don't recognize me as a conductor.
Get your head straight, take your time off, kick your feet up and enjoy the moment. Grab a cold beer, light up a cigarette and think about something positive.
The human mind can adapt itself pretty good to changing things.
The ETS community is one of the most toxic communities I've ever seen. People pissed off for nothing, demanding, complaining, being real smartasses. Ugh. Worse than yuppies.
Cheers!

Don't ask me about my mods. I'll update them as I please, because I can do whatever the **** I want.
