@kmorreison

Thank you so much for the kind words, very warming! I'm spoiled as I
have had the privilege to run the game like this for many years. ENJOY!

I have a question that I really think has nothing to do with this forum ... but when you leave the game it gives you problems? Sometimes the game does not close and I have to close it roughly or sometimes it closes, but steam recognizes it as open and I have to close steam! Is it my problem or does it happen to more people?

@kmorreison

In the latest versions of the game, it takes a very long time before the game is totally closed and I can see
the desktop again. On my system Steam is running all the time and I don't have to deal with it except when
I want to go to the Workshop or do some other changes in Steam. Try to wait out the closing of the game
after you have hit the Quit button and see if that is the case.

The biggest problem is that it almost always closes and I see my desktop, but if I try to run it again it tells me that it is already running and if I look at steam it marks me as open. The only option is that if I close steam it tells me that ets2 is running and I can click on "close now" and so I can enter again.

Thanks for everything you do! and sorry for my English hahaha

Edit: Just for gossip, could I know how you use the "direction non-linearity" and "direction sensitivity" settings ingame?

@kmorreison

Okay, after the Quit button and the desktop shows, can you still see the game in the taskbar?
If so, then it hasn't exited properly, at least not yet!
Edit: Just for gossip, could I know how you use the "direction non-linearity" and "direction sensitivity" settings ingame?
What do you mean? Where do you find those settings?

Ah those, sorry I don't use those settings as I have Force Feedback disabled.
I'm using the FFB plugin, giving a much better feedback! Here's a link.

Well, I will probably sound like a grumpy old man here, which I actually am! 😆😆😆
I won't give my opinion on this comparison due to the following facts. The three
videos recorded, splendidly done environment and synchronization wise, was then
combined into one, meaning there was a processing stage in that. Then on Youtube
there were another processing into the vp09 codec. So, too much impact on the
original recorded videos for me. What I would have wished, was to be able to DL
all three ORIGINAL videos and displaying them all three on my three identically
configured monitors, same model, at the same time. If I should make ONE single
comment, it would be that the biggest difference I see is when SSAO is activated,
which I really miss when we are using the NPI AA scheme. My two cents.
Thanks for your honesty, as always. TBH it did seem a bit grumpy and offended my ego, so I had to sleep on it first before I commented.
It's a perfectly sensible comment, though, and I agree.

As requested, here are the raw files, zipped but still a whopping 3gb++ in size:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-kW5p7 ... sp=sharing

I probably will not be able to keep it up for long, as it's too much for my cloud storage, so probably will just be available this weekend.

Let me know how it looks for you guys.
Personally, this was my preference (#1 being the best):
  1. NPI
  2. In-Game SSAO OFF
  3. In-Game SSAO ON
I didn't like the "shimmering" from SSAO. It didn't feel natural to my eyes.

@theclumsygeek

Thanks for your report and the raw videos. I turned "grumpy" only for the reason that I thought
I couldn't give an honest opinion as the ending video had been processed two times. The first
you had control over, but we don't have a clue what happens when YT process your uploaded
video into the vp09 codec. I hope you can understand my point there. E.g. you say you didn't
like the "shimmering" from SSAO, but I didn't even see that in the final video.

I've DL'ed the raw material and as soon as I get time for it, I will have a look at them all.
So, see ya later and hopefully I will then have an opinion on the three setups.

Can npi help me in fixing an issue with fps in ats 1.40

The issue is I use vsync and fps is locked at 59
When it drops to 58 the game becomes slow as hell with lag spikes and becomes worse when drops to less than 58
How to fix that
