Almost like me then as I have a GTX1660Ti from Asus Strix series!
[WIP]Research into AMD graphics card AA solutions
Re: [WIP]Research into AMD graphics card AA solutions
Any further info about this issue ?
Currently on a nVidia 1080 with no g sync. Hoping to switch to QLED and Radeon as QLEDS do not support g sync yet.
But lack of antialiasing is messing up my plans !

Re: [WIP]Research into AMD graphics card AA solutions
I did some tests with my RX5700XT and my 32" widescreen. Settings ingame always 2560 x 1080 res, ultra, 400% scaling.
First all settings standard in Radeon Software:
Looks ok - 100fps
Than first change in radeon software. Set sharpening to 100%
100fps as before but looks a little bit different.
Changed AA in radeon software to overwrite game settings. 8 times multisampling:
Still 100fps and i can´t see any changes.
Went on with 8 times adaptive multisampling:
Still 100fps ...
Next change was 8 times supersampling:
Still 100fps ...
Changed texture filtering to high:
Small fps lost - only 95fps
Last change was tesselation. Changed to 64 times and got this:
Now again 95fps.
Settings from AA were not changed after 8 times supersampling. Texture filtering was still at high for tesselation.
So as result nearly no change ingame if you change something in radeon software. Game uses it´s own settings.

@Paulebaer1979
In the Nvidia card case, in order for us to get e.g. 4xMSAA+4xSGSSAA we have to set in-game Scaling to 100%
and disable in-game SMAA! Can that be the same with the AMD card?
EDIT: Also, for comparison, please find a place where you have power lines or phone lines running alongside
the road and at best also crossing the road in the distance. Seeing if proper AA is there will be much easier
looking at those lines in the air!
