[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)

Wow, that I didn't see coming. I knew you went AMD when you got a new machine, but this
is a surprise. YES, all is documented in the first post and it is there also recommended that
you start with Step 1 - 3, check if it works OK for you, and when it does, go ahead and make
the graphics the best you have ever seen, by adding from the lower part of first post! Ask
if any problems on the way!
EDIT: Psssttt, don't forget to edit your signature! :laugh1:

Signature edited mate and thanks a lot. I got tired of the damn jagged lines that were predominant in ETS2 so decided to go Nvidia wise and these settings have reduced the jaggedness even better Now i can really enjoy thisBenganJ wrote: ↑July 23rd, 2020, 10:37 pm@hecatonchires

Thanks mate. Any updates for 1.38 regarding your map? I have not been online for weeks due to system issues so lost in the world of which maps require updating

Hello All.
A question to someone smarter than me. I did follow all the steps and AA works perfectly. It's an amazing job, compared to what we got in game. Still I'm unable to get any form of Ambient Occlusion. From what i just read here the in-game SSAO isn't going to work with NPI AA, so it's either one or the other. But still I can't get the NPI AO working, despite all the AO settings set according to instructions. I'd be grateful for any suggestions. (GTX 1080 Ti 11gb, drivers: 451.67)

@Darmorque
Welcome! Yes, it's a fact that NPI AA and SSAO doesn't play well together!
But as far as I have found, the NPI AO has been more or less disabled by
the in-game SSAO, so don't use NPI AO. You will get a certain effect, but
sadly not the correct one, if you set in-game SSAO to High. Your choice!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
I think SSAO is going light instead of dark when used with NPI AA. Keep SSAO disabled until we fix it.
Note: I only use 2xAA.

@Paty
I would recommend you to start with Step 1 - 3, then check if that works for you in game.
Then I also suggest that where it says high impact on FPS in the settings below those steps,
you should avoid them, just keep to LOW and MID impact settings. With that latest driver
version you should use NPI 2.3.0.12, but then you lose Sharpening and SILK_Smoothness
settings in NPI, but then you can try Sharpening in NCP instead!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Thanks a lot!
It works much than expected, super fine.
FPS 80-90 with 4x-4x, NPI Texture filtering - LOD Bias (DX) to '-1.5000' or more.
And/or NCD Sharpening Value to '0.80' , scaling 200% ingame setting (with 400% drops FPS to 60).
Just a litle question I have:
the small (far) object like looking like a vertical line (el. cables for ex.) are looking interrupt and
as aproaching they get start looking better and better finaly when are near me the are ok..
I don't know understand U what I try to say with my poor english...
If yes, have any idea what must I do to view that faar objects correctly?
