Because SCS do not have a publisher to throw money at them, they must build maps DLCs and those small DLCs (trailers, paints, etc) to have an income, so they hire most of their workforce in that direction. As a result the progress on every other feature of the game is painfully slow. That's why they only manage to implement DX11 in an era when a lot of games have DX12 and Vulkan, that's why Germany and old trailers rebuild take five thousand years. That's the sad truth. If Ubisoft or EA, for example, took the game we would have a better game, better graphics, etc but all would be much more expensive..

P.S. Indeed, the SMAA one was a totally weird move as it provides the same AA result as MLAA, which is no AA at all. They should have channeled all this effort into something more useful..

@JHTrucker

I have now tested ALL the single bits for the zero number positions in the AA bit pattern, these 0x80000A7F.
Every position tested with values 1,2,4,8 and F and none of these values have any impact on AA or AO. I also
tested a couple of the other positions and those have that impact on AA and sometimes on AO, but so far no
luck on getting what SCS get themselves without NPI!

EDIT: I might have come up with a hint on where to go on testing. If I change the first position 8 to a 7, I get
correct SCS type of AO, BUT I loose AA. At least I got a proper response there. I'll test some more later.

========== Folks! ==========

Can you help me and test this. Set the Antialiasing compatibility (DX1x) to 0x00000A7F
instead of 0x80000A7F? I get full AA and full SCS type AO when doing so! Please report
back here when done!

@BenganJ That first number 8 can be 8/9/A/B/C/D/E/F but not the first half 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7. Found that ages ago and yes those 0's do nothing... when you fill with something else, all F's for example.
Perhaps a game that uses GTAO has a Nvidia AO bit?

@JHTrucker

Well, try changing the 8 to 0 and you probably will get a surprise. I knew the facts you
put forward since the time we searched the last time, so I got a full surprise just a couple
of minutes ago!

@ALL

Nope, sorry mates! We loose AA then, not all but most! :=(

@JHTrucker

You were right as usual, i judged from the truck display in menu,
where you most often can see if there's AA or not!
