Well, I'm at 1.38 OB in ATS, but I'll stay in ETS2 on 1.37 until I see
where the heck this is going!
Well, I just just fell through the map on 1.38 OB ETS2. :help:

I collected all my courage today and installed the latest nVidia Driver 451.48. Together with Windows 10 version 2004 this opens the feature: Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling. The GPU is managing it's RAM itself now instead of letting Windows do that. After viewing a number of YT movies yesterday evening I did not get the impression it would be of great use for me, but hey a man is curious. It looks to be more of use on Graphics Cards with not so much memory. My GTX 1070 has 8 GB.

I installed the latest version of nVidia Profile Inspector (2.3.0.12) too and moved the now missing Sharpening settings to NCP. Per game. One for ATS and one for ETS2.

Everything functions fine again. AA, sharpening and all settings advised in this thread. Maybe some benefits of HAGS will show up later.

@Sansemiano

Thanks very much for that report, we'll see if someone tunes in and
tell us about their result!

Yeah, that would be nice. I was hoping it would help against the freezes. We'll see.

So, I´ve done the same: Sharpening with NCP 0,17 and 1.0 (same values possible) and NVidia Driver 451.48. runs with NPI 2.3.0.12. Game is running fine as usual. :grin: :grin:

@Tapir

Well, that we have known for quite some time now! The question is, does
Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling, HAGS, do some good or not!

I think I found my solution.

In my case, it seems limiting my monitor to 60hz limits my FPS in those "busy moments" (maybe vsync / gsync related?).
Here's a vid showing the low FPS (30+) even with GPU only at 60% utilization:

When I set my monitor to its full 144hz setting, I still get frame drops in those busy moments, but I am at least able to utilize my GPU to its maximum (I get 50+ FPS vs the 30+ in the previous setting). I then just use RivaTuner to limit my FPS to 60.

Hope it helps others who may be encountering a similar problem!
