Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
"this topic is only for those with an Nvidia-based graphics card"
But I do not have what I have the latest AMD FX 5700 XT 8GB graphics card
Just thought if I had changed 5.0 without thinking about which I changed if it was at 1.0 before ...

You are right, BUT what's in the config.cfg settings have NOTHING
to do with which graphics card you use! So that part of the first post
applies to you too! I have the value set to 15 for all three LOD params
in config.cfg, traffic, pedestrians and parked cars.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ - Perhaps a note next to those parameters to explain?
Something like this:
The best way to understand what the LOD values do and how to set them.
Park at the side of a long road and look straight ahead at the oncoming traffic.
Can you see the traffic model suddenly increase in detail as it gets closer? If so, increase Traffic LOD by 1 and check again.
Keep going until you are happy you can't see the changes happen.
But by increasing the value, you add extra load to the gpu and may drop fps if too excessive.

Done, but in a more general way as it is the same with parked cars and trucks and also pedestrians.
Another note created and referred to at proper places. Thanks for the idea!

======= Folks, ATS Open Beta v1.38 is out. =======
There has been rumors, that the graphics would get some overhaul in this version,
but from what I can see on their release post on the blog, it's more or less only a
question of implementing SSAO, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion! For those that
already use our NPI scheme in full, are already having that feature and judging from
how SCS has implemented graphic features earlier, remember MLAA and SMAA, I
highly doubt it's better, than what we already have. But we'll see later on!

@BenganJ - I assume you're trying the beta? I don't bother with them.
Turn off NPI SSAO and see if SCS SSAO gives better fps for the same quality you currently have... you never know.
Looks like our AA will be alive and kicking for many years to come!

@JHTrucker
Yes, I will use ATS to test it, but not now right away, but within a week. And yes,
the rumors always build up expectations most of the time NOT fulfilled. Only SSAo
is not much at all. As they don't seem to have touched AA at all, I think we will be
totally clear, even with AO!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Very nice surprise. I wasn't expecting 1.38 for a while.
Can anyone else help test? From initial look, it looks like my SSAO when using NPI isn't working.
Comparing NPI vs In-game SSAO, the in-game one looks much better (look at shadows on the grass patches):
Maybe I missed a setting in NPI. AA works as far as I can tell, but the SSAO part I'm not sure about.
