If it's something i like to be permanently excluded is that intrusive shit named STEAM.
I couldnt agree more mate. I HATE gaming front ends, but it seems that in this generation we cant do anything about it, and its going to get worst. Recently Epic Games gave up for free Grand Theft Auto V, and you had to make an account on Epic Store to just download the game, install it, launch the game from there, only to open another front end, the rockstar games one, to launch the game again through their server, create another account... etc, i could go on. I just dont get it. Thats why many people buy games but they play pirated versions instead. Its my case. Even if i bought ATS and ETS2, i dont play them through steam. I just play the pirated versions instead just to avoid the hassle of having steam in the background running. Of course if i am going to play multiplayer i need to launch the steam version yes or yes, but since i usually NEVER play multiplayer... well, its not the case.

About reshade, there is not real reason i want to use it now, i used to have it to improve colors a bit and apply some sharpen filters, but now with the nvidia sharpening thats not needed. About the colors, well, a graphic mod would do the trick when i intall one in the future.

Anyways, aliasing on the mirrors is annoying me too much in ETS2 (not that much in ATS since mirrors are smaller). Is there anyway to apply the AA to mirrors?
Windows 10 xxxx.xxx whatever is the last version... lol.

@tantalus

We already do that in this NPI way, but you have to set the following in config.cfg, i.e. if you use our AA concept here.

Code: Select all

uset r_mirror_scale_y "1"
uset r_mirror_scale_x "1"
Then the scaling in the mirrors are 100% and will have full AA!

============= Does anyone know what this is all about? =============

If this is really a showcase of the new SCS graphics development for version 1.38, I will have to consider if I
should stop playing ATS/ETS2. Please someone, tell me this is just a damn bad joke! This can't be true!

Well, if I were in SCSs shoes, I would take that one down, even sue that guy!

@Photon_

If you think it gives you a better AA, but according to my tests, not much happens!

EDIT: The following holds regarding the use of MFAA.

1. MSAA must be supported by the game OR forced. We force it!
2: It is not compatible with SGSSAA as far as shown in limited testing. We use SGSSAA!
3. Incompatible with SLI.

@Photon_

Sure, test it and see if you think it will enhance anything. I just informed you
about the prerequisites and possible drawbacks!

@BenganJ - I seem to remember you having flashing tree spots with 1.37 beta and thinking our AA was now broken... you had MFAA on for testing and forgot it was still on.
If so then a new Q&A
Q - Can i use MFAA with this AA solution?
A - No, it is not compatible.
