@JHTrucker

Isn't this the only natural solution and with the H-shifter solution in the first post
the drawback mentioned isn't there any more, or am I wrong?

@BenganJ - Yes option 1 is the best, and shifter is now a non issue, but quite daunting for people to do i think, has anyone read that post without going wtf?
But running 1 and 5 just to keep a check on them.

@JHTrucker

@BenganJ - First post option 1 is to get you started to prove it works. It then links to the "timings post" before showing the process that should be used for timing. I didn't want to add the timings post to the first post to keep it readable... guess i failed.

@BenganJ - 297 views and nobody has said they are using one of the options yet...

@JHTrucker

Well, to be honest, it is a steep learning curve to start with and you have
to have quite a good amount of time implementing it, so I can understand
why!

@BenganJ - Nah. Option 1 is hard to set up but 2 to 5 aren't.
Backup controls.sii
Edit controls.sii file.
NOTE: line numbers may/will be different, be sure to keep yours:
Replace this line:
config_lines[236]: "mix headtryaw `sel(trackiron, trackiryaw, 0) + sel(hmdon, hmdyaw, 0) + sel(eyeposon, eyeposyaw, 0)`"
With this line:
config_lines[236]: "mix headtryaw `clamp(sel(trackiron, trackiryaw, 0), -1.4, 0.4) + (sel(trackiron & keyboard.space?0, trackiryaw, 0))`"
Close and save.

That unblocks your view when you press and hold space bar. Couldn't be easier to test option 2 in just a minute.

@JHTrucker

But I don't like that scheme very much and space bar is default for Parking Brake I think.
I would like to implement the automated option 1 and make a video how it works.

@BenganJ - That is option 2, basic, one button, any button to unblock. To test and realise that these options are good. Then use another option.
Option 4 or 5 are better as when you select reverse you have full head movement and window opens. So no need to press any thing, it's hands free.
As it stands the game allows you full head movement. once you are blocked you then think about opening the window to look out and it starts to feel much better. So even options 2,3,4&5 whilst don't stop you putting your head out before the window is open enough still make you wait until you can.

As you have a G27, all you need are 2 free buttons for open and close windows. Export your profile and i'll mod it for you.
You do the 2 lines in controls.sii as per option 1 then import modded profile and assign the 2 wheel buttons to the newly added window commands. 5 minutes.
