[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Not too sure if anyone else has updated to NV Drivers ver 445.75 3/3/20 trouble free, but for me they completely break NPI 2.3.0.10..
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@Karli
Hi Granny! Not too often I see you here! You are right, Nvidia messed up with that version.
NPI has for that reason been updated to 2.3.0.12 with Image sharpening removed from it among
other things, Nvidia has since released a Hotfix 445.78, have you tested it? I am still using an older
version of the driver, never jump on the train immediately! :D If I were you I would go back a couple
of versions until it is order in the class again. We discussed this quite a few pages back here. :D

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@clear F1 @BenganJ - Things to try if you want to:
uset r_mode_refresh "0" - default game value.
"0" means the game has to request the hz info from the gfx driver
"60" means the game will force 60 hz - if monitor can't do 60 hz it won't display anything.
Vertical sync in game is calculated on the hz value, if it's given the wrong value from gfx driver then sync will also be wrong value.
What does game log show?

Reset driver defaults in NPI for game.
Don't change any values yet.
Test game, vsync="2", 30 fps?
If vsync="2" and 30 fps, now make STEP 1 NPI changes only and test again.
"Clean" install of nvidia driver.

What a mess. He get these results on his 60Hz monitor:
I know there is some bad FPS counters out there, but not both Steam and GeForce Experience.
Can this be a bad driver or the graphics card, the GTX1070? It's a famous one. Which version of
the Nvidia driver do you use clear F1?

Now do as JHTrucker asked you. Set r_vsync "2" and check FPS counter!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
sorry.
This is the result of reading the translation carefully.
Would you please write in a bulleted list easily in order?
I tried exactly as told.
After reporting the result, vsync = "2"
I thought I would use it.
