@JHTrucker

Ah, that's good to know, been a bit suspicious about the 400-series of drivers.
YES, I am still testing DSR, settled for 1440p resolution, gives me more or less
constant sub-60 FPS against constant sync'ed 60 before. Can't see much of a
difference either regarding AA, but as I said, I am still evaluating it!

@BenganJ - DSR renders a larger res image and our AA is applied to that but keeps image size as DSR.
Scaling renders a larger image and then squashes it down to native.
You can't have more pixels than native, so DSR is cheating res for another way to add brute force AA to the whole image, like scaling, but this way we can still use our AA. But don't go crazy... unless you like a slide show.
Increase -ve LOD or sharpen as DSR does cause a slight blur depending on size of res.

@JHTrucker

Oh, I realize what's going on. Even if I set the monitor res to the DSR res, becoming new native
and using the same DSR res in game to get proper AA, the output to the monitor will be 1080p
inspite of used DSR res 1440p. Correct?

EDIT: A question. When I activate DSR in NCP, I also get another parameter, DSR - smoothness,
with a value of 33% as a default setting. What is a good value you think?

@BenganJ - Yes monitor is always native, but higher DSR processes the image in more pixels but can still only use the monitor pixels when displaying. So there's a cheap brute force AA.
Remember to keep desktop and game res the same otherwise game DSR res will actually only be your native res.
Smoothing, push to 0 and then 100 to test, i think it's just a blur / sharpen slider.
I don't use DSR, my 3840x1024 at 2xMSAA + 2xSGSS is usable but any higher res is a killer.

EDIT: As a test, i wonder which is better, in game 400% scaling or DSR 4.00x with no AA.
Which looks better with no AA applied to either.

@JHTrucker

I'm fully aware that the two resolutions, set DSR and in game has to be the same,
otherwise, NO AA! Okay, I will check what the slider at 0 and 100% will get me!
At this higher res, 1440p, I get quite some more stuttering since I pretty constantly
have a FPS lower that the V-Sync of 60Hz. Earlier I had a constant 60Hz, so a much
smoother experience!

@BenganJ - Quick test results.
3840x1024 400% scaling 20 FPS screen shots size 2595KB
7680x2048 DSR value 20 FPS screen shot size 7958KB
Zooming in on both screen shots to speedo shows the DSR image is much sharper.
As both have same FPS, then DSR and in game 100% is best if not using AA.
Driving around might give different results, frame wise, but no need to do that... i'm using our AA.

EDIT: Perhaps this is the answer to increased stuttering?
Native res and 4xMSAA + 4xSGSS or
High DSR res and 2xMSAA + 2xSGSS
Does 2x look ok with high DSR? or is 4x at native always better looking?

I have DSR set to 4x. All settings as per page1 for the NPI. Only change I made was to have 2xmsaa and 2xsgss instead of 4x and 4x. I have smoothness set to 25%. I have all the same settings in the config as page one aswell. I don't use shades from nvidia or reshade. Only other change I make is to r_gamma at 1.20 and g_bloom at 0.1. I have 40 fps every where in both games. Screen res is 1920x1080p and screen size is 49inches. In ATS I have tested it on a profile without any maps just dlc and a profile with Sierra Nevada map. 36-40fps is fine with me and the game looks great. In ETS2, I have the same settings and have tested on a profile with no map mods, just dlc. 40 fps and great looking game. On a profile with Promods, 36-40 fps and the game looks great. No flickering, jaggies nothing. Not even on the menu page. So I'm using 4xDSR with the AA aswell. I don't care about fps. Never had, never will. 40 fps is more than playable. Game is smooth. I want to test some more with this, but at the moment I think this is better than 32xmsaa and 8xsgss. I did try 4x for both bit fps is 20 and stutters.

I can't wait for my new monitor to start using your antialiasing setting
'2x [2x Multisampling]'
'2x Sparse Grid Supersampling'
I can't do more because my graphics card is not enough powerful
