Gravesteyn - Your 50+ year old eyes sound like my 50+ ones!
I assume you took the GTX980 out of pc? Was the fan clogged with dust/fluff? Stopping the fan spinning as fast as it needs to to keep it all cool.
If you or others smoke in the room with the pc, that smoke gets sucked through the pc internals and gives it a slightly sticky layer to help collect passing dust/fluff/dog hairs etc.
Roll on Monday!

HI,

just when I tunning AA for my weak PC to work Freightliner XL after the last update 1.37 I tried to set the profile in the inspector to default and vith 2560*1440 set in game scale to 125% + 2 SMAA :-))))))))))) )))) try it and you will see for yourself. I'm not saying it's completely repaired, but I think it's enough for my integrated 1050ti.
Those who have powerful GPUs will probably no longer need this alchemy.

@flippy

Thank you flippy for your marvelously scientific solution! Much appreciated!
May the GPU and also the CPU be with you in the future!

@BenganJ - Perhaps a first post note at STEP 1:
Fully working with ATS 1.36 and ETS2 1.36 ONLY.
Currently the ATS 1.37 beta has issues with this AA solution.

For those just new to trying this!

@BenganJ - Also, looking at your video, the flashing areas in the trees look as if a rotating beacon is active... that green flashing icon is the only thing moving.

uset r_hide_helpers "1" ? or a mod to disable them? for a test.

SCS made changes to the weigh stations so perhaps updated all icons?

@JHTrucker &@All people concerned!

:oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:
I'm so sorry folks! This phenomenon was created by myself as I tested to add MFAA to the AA-mix through the NPI param,

Code: Select all

Enable Maxwell sample interleaving (MFAA)
which I set to On. DO NOT DO THAT, as you will lose AA totally and also get those glittering trees! My sincere apologizes!

@JHTrucker

I will remove that warning line again! Sorry I bothered you with this!
:oops:

Well i did say this "Perhaps the testing should have a proper base point, by that i mean step 1 NPI only." on page 162.
You just can't help everyone!
Glad it's fixed though!!!!

EDIT: @BenganJ - What about black-coffee & bogdac, did you mess with their MFAA too?
