[DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ - I don't use the open betas so i can't help, limited 3G data connection only, no home broad band.
I've always thought the chrome parts in ATS looked too sparkly anyway (1.36), so perhaps not a new thing for 1.37?
ETS2 looks better for the lack of chrome!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
Yes I had noticed them before without really knowing what they were.
Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@black-coffee
Yes, that's my impression too, so that's why I started to look for another pattern.
@bogdac
Okay, thanks!
@JHTrucker
It's the amount of shimmering, glittering that has changed! The chrome parts has always
been some movements in and should so be as the menu animation is a moving one. Further,
ever since ykon28 suggested that we ONLY got 4xAA as maximum I've been suspecting the
same. SCS has announced that they are working on new graphics, so maybe they are doing
the same as they did with DX11, a gradual transition, and that is now what we see some of
now.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker
I have an old I7-3770 with 8Gb ram.
600W powersupply.
Standard 27" monitor, no g sync or v sync.
Razor blackwidow keyboard.
Track-IR.
Tobii.
Logitec G25 steering wheel.
Oculus Rift.
No overclocking on PC or GPU. Don't know how so I don't take the risc of doing something wrong.
Run all games at HD (1920x1080).
Mostly no frame limit as it varies between 40-60 fps depending the game and the settings.
No high fan speeds so I think it is not getting too hot. Never measured it.
ETS2 and ATS ran on ultra graphics with no special settings and no NPI changes.
Games like Assassins Greed (Origin, Odessey), the Division 1 and 2, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint all run on ultra without any problems.
Normally I try to get a framerate between 30-60. Lower is not nice to play and above: I don't see the difference (I'm 50+ so eye's are not getting better :D ).
Used to have a GTX980TI. It was 4 years old.
New card RTX2070S will arrive monday.
@BenganJ
Yes I tried the settings from this post. Games (ETS2 and ATS) ran at steady 60 FPS.
Total time I think 3-4 hours within a timespan of 8 hours.
I just think it was time for the GTX to retire.

@Gravesteyn
Thanks for the report! You don't say it, but I assume you then also got AA working
when using the settings from here!? And there's no idea to even compare these two
simulation games to the other action type of games. Their creators can optimize as
hell for their specific need.

@BenganJ
How can I see if AA works?
(Ofcourse I cannot check now).

As you say, you can't check that now, so let's make a deal, you and I!
When you've got the new RTX2070S and are having all running again,
please test the settings here once more. Then we can see if you have
AA working properly! Is it a deal? :D

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker & @Road Runner & @Folks interested in general
I just tested on the very latest ETS2 1.36 and ALL is well there, gorgeous graphics, full AA! BUT,
on ATS 1.37 OB something has happened during the OB period, we lost at least most of the AA
and also got that glittering phenomenon at night. So, be prepared, as we might have to go back
to 400% scaling and Ultra SMAA again, if SCS hasn't implemented something new regarding AA
again or we have found a new compatibilty pattern during the OB! As far as I have interpreted
the information, SCS will have some new graphics news implemented in 1.38, but as I said earlier
they might do it gradually! Cross your fingers folks!!!!!!

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@BenganJ
Perhaps the testing should have a proper base point, by that i mean step 1 NPI only.
Don't use 32s as 4xAA only works and that SS part might be doing something?
No naturalux or smartsharp etc... just step 1.
I can't test 1.37 but i can still offer 0x80000AF7 as a test bit for you (yes reversed 7F).
I tested your 0x8000087F (on 1.36) but got a black screen shot (F12) when checking image.
I won't be going back to scaling... i'll stay on 1.36 for ever more if that's the case, no problem.

Re: [DX11] Help regarding Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)
@JHTrucker
:D :D :D Sure it's tempting to stay on 1.36 as we really have got some good graphics now!
I have started testing quite a lot already, none of the 'A' position alternatives I specified are
working either. Next I will start off with your suggestion and YES, I've "degraded" to 4x level
of AA while doing the tests, NO Smart_Sharp either! I will report back every now and then!
