@JHTrucker

Have had no problem with photo mode. And as I visit dealers and upgrades so infrequently, temporarily changing scaling to visit is no problem! :D

Thanks again for your solution!

Guys, my game crashes when I try to buy and configure a new truck. As soon
as I go into the configuration and try to choose another cabin, it crashes. Can
anyone confirm this? For now I have red marked the first post with info on NOT
implement this scheme. Things like crashes may not be there.

@Road Runner
I've got a mod to work for ATS (all screens have waves background) but as it's a mod i'm thinking it's a pain to keep updating and so better to just toggle HDR or scaling as required to fix gfx.
Like you say, not that bigger deal really.

Who knows, we may still stumble across the propper AA bit that just works.

Can you guys try using 0x8000077F. With F7F I could see some strange vegetation at the side of the road at night that had a slight glow around it as i drove past, not lit up by my lights, just like a glowing outline of it.
I first noticed it when using the very first AA bit listed on here. But the last one 072 didn't show this glow, but broke mirrors etc.

@JHTrucker

If you look back in history in this thread you'll see that we started out with 0x80000F72 as AA
pattern. Later I tested through ALL possible values on the F, from 0-F, and found essentially
NO difference. That's why I reset that position to 0, to 0x80000072. At that time I didn't look
for that kind of detail, glowing vegetation at night, only for mirror and rain problem. After
that I ran through the values of the two last digits, the result is documented here somewhere.
Would it be possible to share that mod? I don't think there will be much change in it through
time and if it doesn't look really stupid when doing the configuration of e.g. a truck I could live
with it. I understand why SCS separated the Desktop animated BG's to the truck service BG's
though. I already tested the 0x8000077F, about 15 minutes ago, no solution to our problem,
but then I didn't know about the glowing vegetation!

@Tapir

Thanx for report, might be a problem of my own profile! I have no problem with SCS vanilla
trucks, this was a mod truck!

@BenganJ

Drove to Mercedes dealer set Scaling at 400% and entered dealers, part exchanged my beloved Volvo FH fo a new Mercedes truck (will be sending the bill to you, Mr B :D ). Left the dealer - video ran showing new truck no problem. Into the new truck, Scaling reset to 100% - drove off.

@JHTrucker

Just driven in the dark, including with lights out - could not find any glowing vegetation.

I have now done a lot of driving both day and night and quite frankly I'm rather pleased with using Mr JHTrucker's AA soloution.

Let's look at the positives: :D

Great Graphics
No Rain in Cab
No sunshine bleeding through cab and scenery
High quality mirrors
Creating new profile - no problem
Photo mode - no problem
Driving into and through your garage - no problem
Buying/Upgrading Garage - no problem
Servicing Truck/Trailer - no problem
Buying On Line - no problem
Bank/Loans - no problem
Teleporting - no problem
Using Console - no problem
No need to use work around or shaders to avoid graphics flipping

The Negatives: :(

Problems with visiting Truck Dealers/Truck & Trailer Configurators (can be overcome by temporarily resetting Scaling)
No Reshade (not necessarily a problem for everybody)

Are things really as bad as they seem? :roll:

@Road Runner

Thank you for the report once again! I will test that strategy too and
see if that is enough for taking the red marking away again, together
with these instructions. :D

After having tested your scheme of setting/resetting Scaling, which
works splendidly, I just left the setting at 400% and to my surprise I
didn't lose the excellent AA :!: :!: :!: Can you people confirm that,
or will we end up with some other new problem then? If not, that
would be super, especially if any Scaling above 100% works like this.

EDIT: Forget what I said, the worse AA was introduced again as soon
as I went driving again after visiting menu page or Desktop. :evil: :evil: :evil:
