Looks good so far.. Will the border lines be a little thinner eventually?

In max. Zoom in the border lines are very big.. If thcould be a little thinner it would look even nicer in max zoom..

Yes, in the old the border lines are too thick, so this time I thought
I would make them thinner, which they are, too thin for my taste! :D

Hmm most important they should stay in black.. At the standart background they are grey like the unexplored roads and if there are many roads at small countries its hard to recognize the border lines.. With your new sat BG they are almost fine exept for too thick.

I wonder why scs didn't made a better background map.. Or an option for changing it not by mods.. Would be nice to switch between a sat BG and a Roadmap like in Googlemaps..

But regarding SATBGs there are several opinions. Some people doesn't use any BG Map and say a BG map is less important... Me for my I think it is better to have one and before your I had this sat BG from EBF... So I am looking forward to your new version and for the Day when all maps would fit in there..
So I wish good luck and a good hand for it!

@MG Mike

Well, the border lines are still black, but a bit thin, I think. Check the latest video,
when I pass the Sahara desert. But in the green background you have to search for it.

SCS, I think, just went for a simple way for the player to orient himself and mind you,
the BG's I'm making now are, as a mod, in a size of at least 0.5GB! Why would SCS deal
with such big things?

I, like you and many others, used Elmer Befuddled's SAT BG for years, and to my knowledge,
with it's limited area has worked very well and still is. But during the time this site and
forum has existed, there have surfaced a lot of peripherally located maps in being and
which are the reason I jumped on to this project.

0,5 GB? Or 500 MB so big is your background map?

But I don't think it affects performance during playing, only thing might be if open the world map during driving it takes a few seconds more than the vanilla map but that is not a bad thing..

By the way thank you again for your efforts.. You are doing really good work on it!

@MG Mike

Thanks mate! Yes, it is a little longer initial loading time,
but the panning and zooming is surprisingly fast. :D

@MG Mike

Just to confirm what I think I heard from you on the Live. You meant
the RC between the YKSRSK and The Great Steppe maps, not the Road
to Aral by the same creator?

EDIT: No problem, I found out myself and now I know why it make this
odd rescaling happen when Promods is used together with YKSRSK to
The Great Steppe RC
! I will make a full report of my findings tomorrow.

I don't know if road to Aral causes it too cause the road to Aral comes right behind Great steppe at my load order..

I talk about the most boring road aka the roadconnection from Yksrsk to Great Steppe..

This rc is on higher priority cause the turkeymap is higher too. It comes above Roex and so this rc comes over Turkey..

And at that profile where I saw the BG was wrong again I had this rc along with some smaller maps like Emden, your islands, Murmansk and afro.. And within this group at this profile the most boring road was on highest position.. If I lower it down the BG is what it should be.. So for me this rc is affecting the BGmap
