Show your truck!
Re: Show your truck!
@Dogbert
Sorry mate, don't ask me about trucks and trailers, I just run them.
I've never had a drivers license, so it's only as a passenger I've been
in a car! Here you have my settings for stability, try those mate!

Re: Show your truck!
Wow your braking intensity is high. Mine is about 1/4 inch (no idea metric sorry buddy) from left side.
As is the stabilty or it makes it too easy Bengt.
So when you are driving in game, you don't have a drivers natural instinct as to what to do correctly.
Must be strange in game buddy. Mind half the idiots on the road in the real world should be banned.

Well, i have a driver licence including trucks and trailers and i tell you in real life you can go in that fetal position with your truck very easy. Making sudden turns also makes your trailer to start moving like a cute ballerina.

Those settings have been recommended to me by a guy who have driven trucks all
over actually, the whole of Europe and a lot down through the Middle East. Have
a look on his video where he shows how he came up with those settings. Then you
can comment, if you like! He lives near Manchester, so almost a neighbor to you. :D

Re: Show your truck!
I still think those stability sliders are way too ...stable. But to be honest, many things depends of your load and the way is packed.

@Arayas
Are you talking to me or Dogbert about that?

Re: Show your truck!
I set mine by a guy on Steam who was also a driver buddy.
I was a professional driver and i can tell you settings more than 25% to the right are not prototypical.
Well this is good, customised this DAF and the wipers do not even clear the bloody rain.

@Dogbert
So, what will the consequences be for me then with those settings?

Re: Show your truck!
Which settings buddy, do you mean mine.
You have to do your own thing Bengt.
I never tell anyone what to do or that my way is the only way.
Anyone that tells you they know it all, is either a fool or a liar.
Originally i was actually joking about the Renault, as i came around and down that slip road, at around 38 - 40 mph.
There is another guy on Steam a driver of over 20 yrs on US trucks.
Which although his settings are in regards ATS, they are still relevant. He sets all the sliders right over to the far left.
Anyway as i say, you play the game as you wish Bengt, the way you enjoy it.
My settings suit me and mean i have to brake sooner, keep my distance and corner at lower speeds.
Everything you would have to do in a heavy goods vehicle or even Double Deck bus in the real world.

This should’ve been the truck Wombat used during his EE streams
